Federal law states that. I guess I assumed because they couldn't purchase from a dealer, it was illegal to possess. I think in Tennessee it is illegal to post under 21. I'm talking handguns.
I don't think that's accurate but not 100%. I think under 21 can't register a handgun in their name and can't purchase. But that doesn't mean it's illegal to recreationally shoot one right? What constitutes "possession?" Holding it and using it in a safe manner or just having unregistered ownership? In Miller's defense on that note: if having it in his car for an afternoon constitutes "possession" then does that mean you can't let your 18yr old go out to the farm and let him shoot your handgun at targets because he "possesses" it?

Yeah, I'm confused by it too. I think they can shoot when with an adult. I'm huge supporter of the 2ND and should know. I know I didn't allow my son to have one until he turned 21. He's shot with me since he was 5 or 6.

My opinion will Not be a popular one…. If someone doesn’t have the intent to participate in a crime… then by charging them…. All we are doing is paying it forward and creating new criminals. My dad worked in a jailhouse ministry and TJ patterns are all the same… Take your friend for instance… if he went to prison for robbery then the chances are doubled/tripled that he will be that kind of person when he gets out…. We are causing more damage to people’s lives, families(broken homes produce more criminals), and innocent people due to our inept justice system.
My uncle is 7 years younger than my dad. He was raised by completely different parents due to the age gap. When he was hitting middle school and into high school my grandparents were CONVINCED he was out doing drugs and having sex. With no evidence they would punish him as such.

So he decided, "Well if they already think I'm doing it and won't believe me otherwise I might as well do it." So he knocked up his girlfriend (still happily married and 3 kids later) and started recreationally using drugs and drinking. Then he went into the military because his grades were bad and had to do some recovery. But now he makes more than anyone in the family has ever made lol and is wildly successful at what he does.

But yeah, similar concept. They created a "bad kid" by essentially telling him he was one. And you do the same thing when you put a person in jail that doesn't deserve it.

Brandon Miller probably doesn't deserve jail time, but I don't see how he can be allowed to continue playing. Tennessee would have been CRUCIFIED if Hendon Hooker had been in the same situation during the season for still playing him. And I'm 100% positive we wouldn't have (see Jaylen McCullough).

Could you come landscape my yard for me?
My dad used to work for a landscaping company and he and I did "contract" work during the summers when I was in high school. Then when I was at UT some older couples at church would hire me to do their landscaping. Now I just do it for myself and for fun.

Handguns and rifles and shotguns for hunting are different. Those 18 and over in TN can possess the latter for hunting. No one is really going to say much either if you let your son use a handgun on private property.

The legal definition of possession can take some discussion. Just read the federal jury charge on "constructive possession." You can legally possess a weapon without it being in your hands or on you.

View attachment 537800A&M defense wasn’t bad last year. I think that game Vs them at Neyland will be a ranked one. Pretty good game to test Tennessee. They return a lot and add a good play caller on offense
No doubt they'll have a miraculous turnaround next season and be one of the best teams in the country. It is the Tennessee way vs random west opponents.

Hospitals too… bay-be! 😂 Anywhere you go in healthcare, there is always staff drama..Days of Our Lives level
Always thought that a Netflix mini-series about a Country Club would be phenomenal. Writers could get stories from GMs, PGA Pros, Tennis Pros, F&B, etc...........

With what they have returning which is top 10 in the Nation. Very talented roster as well combined with a very good class, a new offensive play caller and looking back last year almost every loss was within one score or less. Everything points to a turnaround for them

I'm not sure which states require a registration but Texas, Tennessee and Bama don't. To legally own or "possess" a firearm, the age is 18.

Be patient with them for another month or two. Their root systems might've survived and will grow back, or start sprouting again from branches in spring (you can do the thumbnail test to see if any branches are still alive).

If you want to plant something else I'd hesitate to recommend without knowing where or seeing the situation. But if looking for a slightly larger shrub/small tree you could look into smoke tree/bushes, redbuds, jane magnolias, crape myrtles, dogwoods, Carolina allspice, rhododendrons, or butterfly bushes off the top of my head.

All those are gonna be in the 10-20' height range. You could also explore edible landscaping like blueberries (which are smaller too) or figs (though figs are a b*stard with cold weather and require a sheltered spot or being wrapped up like babies). All those are deciduous except rhododendrons. If you want an evergreen for privacy you could plant any of the various holly trees/bushes, or juniper/cedar etc. Just don't plant privet for God's sake. LOL. And if you plant the abomination that is Leland cypress you'll have to deal with a disease that will kill it or major portions of it before it reaches legal drinking age.

Those are some ideas to get you looking and see what's available, grows well, and you like best for the spot.

Lost about 25-30 Leland’s 8 years ago. The prior owner planted them for privacy and they never got taller than 8 feet. Sucks. No telling what he/I spent on that. They were infested and infected. My holly bushes and nandinas across front of my house look like they got frozen to death, I hope you’re right and they come back.

Yeah we have tea olive and jasmine bushes that didn’t like the 9 degree weather. The tea olive shed all its leaves (looks even worse now). We’re not sure if they’re coming back yet.

I've had the exact same curiosity. He posted a picture of him and the Boofer girl from Valentine's day at some event. And her dad has started posting alot of stuff to/about Ainge. I think they must be together. Also, he used to post about his wife fairly often, but I don't think he's posted anything about her for a while. Again, I think they've got to be divorced or separated.
Not that I really gaf, but how old would Ainge be? Well into his 30s? Iirc she was in college. Robbin the cradle EA

We put in new Tea Olives last year by our fence for privacy and they got hit by the 9 degrees and lost their leaves. I thought we lost them but they are already showing a bunch of new growth/budding here in Atlanta.
