tl;dr
mad that last night, the broiler on the oven went nuts
even if the oven wasn't turned on, broiler on HIGH as long as power was going in
lucky dey wasn't a big fahr
worst that happened was my baked taters were incinerated
had to shut off all power to appliance and unplug
talked to a couple of folks...sounds like a bad control board/panel
oven's about 30 years old....dun had to fix a couple of things on it
better to buy a new one....so sent the wife and daughter to Lowe's today
got one coming tomorrow
lotta $$ to drop at one time
