How many in the US died of starvation prior to food stamps? Must have been lots right? If not, how in the world were they able to survive?

The error with your Jesus example is that he was not a govt entity. He would have been a privately funded non-profit providing food for the less fortunate. Of course if he did it in a public space he would likely be subject to arrest by the govt you believe is the answer. It's illegal to hand out food to people without the proper papers. Govt hates competition

I certainly agree with eliminating need for government assistance, do we get that from suppressing wages, eliminating taxes on the wealthy, breaking unions, increasing giveaways to the wealthy. Look how much MJG got from covid.

How about investigating DJT and his use of campaign donations to rent offices in trump tower 1/2 million so far but no rented offices in trump tower.

Here I've given the clan plenty to howl about.

If you were truly interested you would ask for both sides to be investigated. Why MTG and Trump but not Biden?

Your first paragraph ignites the truth that govt is a failure for the people. One you get past that part it will make more sense

Just like jobs numbers. Process is as follows:
> release initial report of literally made up numbers
> news covers those numbers and acts like all is well
> VolNation leftoids post tweets with fake numbers claiming Dark Brandon or whoever is doing great
> two to three months pass and numbers are revised to something worse but still probably totally fake

They honestly could likely skip releasing "real" numbers because the media will always keep covering for them.

New to this country are you?

I know I have told this story before, but I was driving down the east coast of India once and saw (literal) grass shacks on the beach. The van driver told us that that was where the people who got wiped out by the tsunami were living.

And people here bitched and whined because the air conditioning in their government provided FEMA trailers didn't work. And they had DAYS of advance notice that a big hurricane was coming to New Orleans.

Because if you keep someone dependent on the government for survival, they are far more obedient.

That's all welfare is. I do believe everyone has times when assistance is needed, but staying on for years and generations is dying nothing more than creating modern day slaves to the state.

You're ignoring where the govt is dependent on them. I would rather allocate $100B and cut a check to every American household than give $1 to funding Ukraine.

Both sides vote to continue generational welfare but never can admit it

As a young boy growing up out in the sticks we knew people who were on"welfare" we felt ashamed for them, but if the man was unable to work we understood. But when their kids started drawing for one reason or another we felt outrage. I have no sympathy for the generation to generation crowd but don’t throw the baby out with the bath water. Better administration is desperately needed.
