President Joe Biden - Kamala Harris Administration

I know Trump tweeted a lot of dumb stuff, but the decisions and tweets by this administration are getting to an all time high of stupidity since the beginning of the year.
Trump was funny and entertaining.

This administration posts like a senile and out of touch old man, which is weird because the 500 people developing these tweets are likely neither of those. Maybe "Dr." Jill is in charge of them.

Because POTUS is the chief executive and CIC. Anyone classifying a document works for the president.

Agree, and that's why I added the last sentence ... unfortunately after you responded. We all do things for a reason; and sometimes without the benefit of explanation, a person up the chain won't understand the reason because he was never part of the process. With classified documents the tangential part may have to do with sources or how the sensitive material was learned. One classified document may appear harmless, but may point to the existence of other things that should not be compromised. That's one big failing of top down management.

I get it but the Chief Executive/CIC can't be hamstrung by petty bureaucrats when it comes to national security. Now I know the entire federal government is nothing but a CYA organization but wouldn't it be nice if we had a POTUS that one day said enough of this **** and declassified a bunch of the dirt they have been hiding from us?

Biden's Priceless Legal and Political Gift to Trump

President Joe Biden has thrown former President Donald Trump legal and political lifelines with his own classified documents scandal. Trump is facing charges of obstruction of justice and mishandling of classified documents after his possible repeated resistance to requests from the National Archives to return classified documents in his possession.

That matters because SCI caveats entail a connection to highly sensitive U.S. government sources and methods of gathering intelligence. Efforts to play down these Trump-Biden document similarities tellingly evade the SCI classification concern. That's because the preeminent basis of classification laws is the protection of national security. And if Trump's mishandling of SCI materials represented a threat to national security, well, so did Biden's. Who might have seen the documents over the 2,112 days between the end of Biden's tenure as vice president and Biden becoming president?

The National Archive is very, very busy with Trump-related things and cannot be expected to chase every classified cache.
Wayne Dupree is obviously a drunk-on-MAGA white supremacist who should be on DOJ's target list.

I'd argue that the National Archives shouldn't be the custodian of classified documents in the first place. Those should fall under the working agency; or if not current, under an intelligence agency ... we've certainly got enough of them.

I agree no one is above the law. If Biden did something illegal, investigate it and act accordingly. But don't be a tool and act like there are no differences between the two cases. When these were discovered, the national archives were notified and they were returned. In that respect, it's open and shut. That didn't exactly happen with Trump. And you know that. In fact, he may STILL be withholding classified docs.

The big hole in your argument is how did somebody not know the documents were missing in the first place? There's no accountability. We are electing children (some of them senile children) to positions of importance. At least they are allegedly positions of importance, those positions are looking more and more like a cesspool of ignorance and incompetence.

House Republicans will now vote on ABOLISHING the IRS and replacing a national income tax with a Consumption Tax - after voting to strip agency of Biden-backed $72 billion in funds for 87,000 new staff

The Republican-led House will vote on a bill to repeal the federal income tax and abolish the IRS altogether this Congress.

Georgia Republican Rep. Buddy Carter will bring forth the Fair Tax Act that he says would remove the need for an IRS entirely by simplifying the tax code. It would replace the national corporate and personal income tax and other taxes with a single consumption tax.

The bill also gets rid of the death, gift and payroll taxes.

It further calls for repealing the 16th Amendment - which gives Congress the right to lay and collect taxes on incomes.

Just talk. That's never gonna happen. No DC bureaucracy ever goes away or gets changed in a way to justify a decrease in size.

Any rube ever look at the apparatus of the USG IA? It is insane.
Hell, they spy on each other. And Us..

The USG needs to understand that they work for us. Not the other way.

Right there.
If unelected bureaucracy has classification authority, they have the ability to operate autonomously. We would have kissed this experiment goodbye a long time ago. Vesting it in the CIC/Prez is about as good as you can do in a republic.

I'll see your raid at Mar-A-Largo, and I'll raise you VP holding onto classified information for 6 years at a think tank closet. Wonder if this was a setup release to expose and push him out by the left.
Which he had no authority to declassify or possess.

Bribes are simply a cost of doing business in much of the world. For example, it's likely nothing would ever happen from south of our border to Tierra del Fuego without a bribe. In some respects there's little difference between the remnants of the Russian and Spanish empires.
Sure; the greater point is that State Dept. and DOJ/FBI knew at the time of Trump's Ukraine impeachment hearings this had happened. That's exculpatory evidence obstructing the narrative Trump simply tried to bribe Zelensky with aid to smear a political opponent, or that Biden didn't do exactly that - dangling aid - to cloak the family's Ukraine-$$ pipeline.
Like other, numerous examples of exculpatory evidence throughout Trump's admin, this was also held from 'purview' by State and DOJ/FBI, probably intel, too.

I find it amazing that Biden is as dumb as he is until I see who he surrounds himself with. Just watch this video and to his right is the idiot Tony Blinken and to his left are the heavy hitters Merrick Garland, Alejandro Mayorkas and my favorite John (Lurch) Kerry. You couldn't find a worse cabinet going back 200 years than Biden has assembled.
