Um Bryce Brown said that if he decided by himself it would have been Oregon all the way.

"I love Oregon and I really wanted to go there, but my parents-er my parents and my family decided spiritually that Tennessee was the place to go"

I really think that Oregon was #1, but Brian Butler/parents totally changed his mind(AKA praying, LOL).



Good luck with Bryce Brown, greatly respect his walk with God, but I think family/Butler influence isn't God.

Autzen is loud because of the fans. It was built before Knight was involved in supporting the program and architecture is not the reason. Though, I think that it's pretty amusing that someone who has been there thinks it was too loud to not have some technical reason behind it.

Oregon is a well funded team. But, they don't get more money than any college football program.

Two years in a row, Oregon was in on the #1 recruit, who also delayed the announcement into a highly publicized event. "It happens every year" is a bit hyperbolic. According to your argument that good players go where they can win, Oregon stacks up pretty good against UT by that measure over the last 10 years and especially over the last few.

If you're going to bag on every Oregon fan you can find about not having facts straight. At least make sure that what you're throwing out is accurate.



Again, we're flattered that other people think we're too loud to be humanly possible. There is no magic trick. Just intense fans.

I can't speak for all Oregon fans on this subject. Some are pissed. Some are dumb. I'm not. I respect that Brown had to make the decision for his own reasons. If it wasn't going to work for him at Oregon, even if it was only due to his parents wishes, I'm ok with that.



According to him, today, Oregon was his #1. Have you not seen that interview?


He didn't say why his parents wouldn't let him go to Oregon. But, I would think distance was a factor for them.

Oh and BTW, Oregon holds the record for loudest EVER recorded crowd noise against USC after a touchdown by Jonathan Stewart. 127.5 decibels!!!!

Knowing that we won't have a head-case at the RB position, whose parents make decision for him.

wheaton there was an espn outside the lines special on loud stadiums several years back in which the designer of autzen described the physics behind the curvature of your stadium design in directing the fan noise onto the field...lane stadium at va tech is the same way and i can vouch for the fact that it gets very loud there but it is mostly due to acoustics. neyland at it's best is by far the loudest place in the nation due to the fact that we have far more fans...people in oregon can't magically yell louder than everyone else.

and if oregon was his top choice and ut was second then i guess coming in second was pretty damn good this time around.

Brown said himself that he would've picked Oregon were it not for Family(parents) and God and Prayer.

And what are you geeks doing recording your decibels? Do you do it to win arguments on the internet?

Everyone in Neyland is too busy rooting on the BIG ORANGE to "record decibels."

That was a one time occasion i can probably bet you that the average decibels at Neyland beats out Autzen every year by a mile.:dance2:

Sorry to burst "YOUR" bubble, but a guy working at ESPN was the one who recorded the decibels and wrote an article later on.

I swear half the time, you UT fans don't make any sense when you talk.

And I have seen the same numbers published in the past about Neyland and the Swamp.

i guess it is hard for us southerners to understand how a school that a kid decided not to go to is his first choice and the school that he just signed with is second...maybe we's all jus a lil' too busy sleepin' wit our sisters and cookin' up shine to understand the intricacies of finishing first while losing.
