My mom sent a family text last weekend asking what we want for Christmas to eat - I said all the usual goodies plus Turkey soup to take home. My brother didn't want the usual he was tired of it. He needed to shut up, we won't get her stuff for much longer.

we,re running ahead of schedule having finished our traditional Christmas eve gift-giving celebration followed by spread featuring shrimp, fruit and hummus, latkes, spinach dip, etc washed down with whiskey sours and cold duck. Holiday dinner with kids and grandkids scheduled Saturday/

Kids and grandkids hit road Sunday to celebrate with other granddad {about hour south of STL) Normally we would would be together, but weather forced some change in plans

Ham, green bean casserole, sweet potato casserole, pasta dish, rolls

warmed up at noon with chicken quesadilla soup,
later shrimp, pimento cheese balls

Made a double chocolate mousse cake for Christmas. Has a base of dark chocolate cake, then a layer of chocolate mousse, a layer of white chocolate mousse, topped with a chocolate ganache.

Just had spiral cut brown sugar glazed ham, turkey breast, mashed potatoes, green beans, corn, macaroni salad, deviled egg, and a roll of course. A fantastic Christmas meal. Merry Christmas guys.
