For $13 million dollars cheaper than Kenley is going to make this year. That matters too depending on how the other moves shake. Malloy isnt going to be anywhere near any top 100 lists…

The Mets have spent a ton of money, but they’re not any better (on paper) now than they were last year. Swapped deGrom for Verlander, added David Robertson, and then just resigned their own guys. We need a SS, but otherwise, we’re as set at every position now as we were at the end of last season, AND we should have a healthy Acuna, a healthy Ozzie, a full season of Strider. It’s gonna be ok.
