Trump had more common sense approaches hurt by his 3rd grade antics. Though he did spend too much but I wonder if it was a product of the McConnell's of the world acting like democrats which made it harder for him to get some of his priorities done without some concessions.

I don't know about you but I don't know what family could survive spending more than they are taking in over and over into near bankruptcy. This is what we're seeing in government.

I don't know who keeps their doors open at night or advertises come on in because we don't lock our doors. This is what we're seeing at the border.

I don't know what family goes around thinking we like living in fear of being robbed, property theft or worse so get rid of the cops or chastise them to make them feekless. Then after that tell them you'll give them more things if they stick around though you'll still demonize them. Yet this is the democrat party platform across the country.

Think about it - how important is it to codify interracial marriage? First, there are more kids who are interracial than any time in our history. Who in their right mind who is not schizophrenic thinks interracial marriage will be illegal one day? It's pandering, dishonest and a waste of time.

I've always thought that Trump went along with covid spending because he was afraid that lack of income would cause business failures that would completely collapse the economy. Could be I'm giving him way too much credit, but I could see the need then, and am still thinking the rationale was reasonable. Congressional politicians might have had the concept of buying off the masses, but I think Trump had a broader view in going along; I'm not at all clear that Trump instigated the spending plan. It's easy to look back in hindsight and criticize decisions made in a crisis - and at the time with little information and little to fight covid it was a crisis. Some of the crisis was that we were simply unprepared medically and structurally to deal with what we should have known could happen despite massive yearly government spending on both issues.

Part of the hindsight seems to be that people tend to forget the more recent and moderate covid strains weren't what hit in the first wave. I'll forgive Trump for that, but definitely not his third grade antics.

The thing is Trump did necessary things that nobody else would touch because dems have no brains (but they are crooked and crafty buggers when it comes to buying votes) and republicans have no balls and little common sense when it comes to dealing with the masses. It's always incredible the nonsense the dems pull to seduce their world of idiots, but it works every time, and republicans are never prepared to counter.

Solid post! This is my position. That is why I'm not going to rule out Trump. He made tough common sense decisions that weak kneed politicians are afraid to make. We need border security. We want a strong military otherwise it's like hiring a coach and saying hold up, wait...you can't be Alabama in football...8-4 is the ceiling. We don't want to look dominant. We need capitalism. We need safe streets.

I will be open to the primary season based on who paints the best vision and is most likely to win. One thing is for sure is another Democrat and this country will sink much further fast especially with what folks like Chuck Schumer is trying to dupe to people.

I'm going on 47 but led a very rough life. I have no delusions about living into my 90's I just want to see my daughter established as an adult and happy. Then I can go happily. She just turned 16. I worry we haven't left her in a very good future society wise.

The GOP sounds confident they have the Biden’s dead to rights, where I have I seen and heard this before? Anybody not completely brain dead knew JB and his family were corrupt as hell and yet he somehow was still elected to the highest office in the free world. I will be shocked if anything at all comes from any of this, just business as usual in Washington.

Posts like this crack me up. While I agree the he is a POS, without him, Trump would not have put 3 justices on the Supreme Court nor remade the Federal Judiciary. There would have been no tax cuts, etc, etc, etc. Basically McConnell made Trump's accomplishments in Congress.

He is a DC 40 year career snake with a 7% approval rating. Just because he approved of certain measures that I and many approve..he is all Big DC. The SC nominees he had no choice.

Wrong, he could have screwed Trump 6 ways to Sunday if he had wanted to. He is the one that rammed through the filibuster change for Supreme Court nominees. He could have let the nominations die. He pushed through the tax cuts using reconciliation instead of regular order (and managed to hold together a majority if spineless morons together for both). Say what you want, without the turtle, Trump would have accomplished squat.
