I’m impressed that I haven’t read many unrealistic excuses since the game. That shows much class. I can’t say many forums would show this in abundance considering the pre-game expectations. I hope my home team forum would exhibit the same class.

Also, I gotta say the CFB fan in me can’t wait for the potential rematch. The GA fan in me would be ok if it never happens. Hooker isn’t likely to have that same game in a rematch. Thanks again for the hospitality you folks have afforded a Dirty Dawg.

UGA was definitely the better team and the disparity in talent showed up. I think Kirby had a great game plan and the crowd obviously helped your cause as well. I've been saying for a few weeks we are due for an off game and we certainly had one Saturday - but a lot of that was the UGA game plan and execution. Hooker definitely missed a few throws he usually makes but he also was under constant pressure so I'm sure that contributed to some inaccurate throws. Anyway, good game and please beat the SNOT out of Alabama if LSU stumbles and Bama makes it to the SECCG for two reasons: 1 - let's beat Saban into submission and retirement. Maybe getting the field stormed twice in one season and getting embarrassed in the SECCG will make him retire; 2 - that helps our cause of making the play offs - if Bama beats UGA, then we likely get left out (maybe, who knows). I expect OSU to beat Michigan and TCU to likely stumble securing our spot.

Perhaps we'll see you in the playoffs. Would love to see this game on a neutral field.

Thanks for the classy post, DD. Smart has been building a great team there for the past few years. Best of luck the rest of the way to Atlanta. Hopefully, the Vols will handle business and we’ll get to converse again regarding the playoffs.

Have to give credit when it’s due. Georgia is more talented especially on defense and Smart had a great scheme. Helps to have a great D line and NFL caliber DB’s. The latter is where we are really lacking. Hoping Josh fixes that in the next couple of classes. At the end of the day though, it looks like UT is back and will compete again in the East. Been a long time since we could say that.

I know we have a good shot at beating Bama if we meet them in the SECCG, but they are still Bama much to my dismay. You guys benefited from playing them at home, much like we benefited playing you guys in Athens. Hopefully they don’t make it bc they are always tough.

I agree, I think TCU falters down the stretch. Not sure about UM and tOSU, but one has to lose. In any event, Bama having two losses helps. I think a 1 loss TN gets in, and I don’t see you guys losing again.

I have to admit though, Oregon is a much different team than the team we played on Sept. 3. I’m not sure if it’s playing lesser competition or if they have dramatically improved. What say you Volnation?

Its apparent now as it was then... talent trumps coaching 99.9% of the time. And right now, UGA has it in spades. Theres not much we could do against your studs. I just dont trust the ability of teams outside the SEC. Obvious exceptions, of course. Oregon is on a roll but I dont think they are a good match up for the top 4 or 5 teams in the SEC.

I agree we had our butt handed to us sat. and I want to comment on the QB situation.Bennett is a fiesty little cuss and played well sat.I just wonder if yall think he would have played as well if he were playing on our side and Hooker were on Ga. side.I think not,he would not endure the pressure from Carter and co. and could not run as well either. He fits well into that offense and has a great OL and skill players,especially TE where he has the 2 top TE,s in the country.Quite a luxury for a short of stature QB.Hope we get to play you guys again this season and maybe we can make it more interesting.
