Post of the day award goes to Rex! hahahaha
That's funny!

Why was that location qualifier necessary Rex?

j/k... totally unreal. Oku signs before BB or OC announce! Nobody was even talking about it happening on that day or even anytime real soon.

I am new to Volnation, but after viewing game tapes of Oku, he reminds me of Chuck Webb. Just watch the tape and see how he changes directions at full speed like Chuck was known for doing. If he is what I think he is the Volnation will be livid with excitement.
:worship:

welcome to Vol Nation

The title of thread should be TN signee, instead of TN committ. That would make people feel a lot more comfortable about this guy lol.

Either way Oku has potential to be a great back. Now he's a Vol. Good for him. If he hadn't I'd would have wished him luck. Now I can cheer for the man.

I am sorry, but I would have to use some chemical influence to believe that Oku is half as good as Chuck Webb. No where near the size of Webb and his speed does not look close on those HS clips.

Webb was, hand down, the best back to ever play at UT. I would pause before I compare a cat that doesnt have a single carry in college to best rb to ever grace Shields-Watkins.

I agree Rex! Best back I ever saw play at Tennessee. It's a shame we didn't get to see more of him, due to his knee injury against Pacific. It seemed like a normal tackle, didn't think nothing of it till after the game they anounnced it was season ending.

It always drives me nuts when posters start speaking negatively about kids when they begin wavering in their commitments. It may very well be that some of them are boneheads, but a lot of variables and pressures go into these decisions. I'm willing to cut them some slack. Furthermore, they are the same players whether they choose Tennessee or not. They don't become better when they choose the Vols or automatically worse when they choose some other school. In fact--dare I say it?--in some cases, it may be better for them to choose another school (e.g., family proximity, depth charts, etc.).

Are you serious Rexvol? The guy said Oku looked similar in the way he changed direction. He didn't compare greatness. I swear, some of you folks look for any oppurtunity to look self important by attacking other posters.

Big #44 baby...oh the Cobb-Webb...

I remember reading a couple years ago that Chuck Webb had a son playing pee wee ball and that the team had won 3 straight pee wee national championships (can't believe they have a NC). Anyway if I was a college coach I might go ahead and offer now. I hope Chuck remembers the good times in orange and sends his son down this way in what ten years? Seriously Chuck Webb was an incredible running back. I still remember being there and seeing the play he got hurt on against Pacific of all schools. Everyone in the stadium knew it was going to be bad as soon as he went down. I think Oku reminds me more of Johnnie Jones then Webb but thats from just seeing a few clips. Only time will tell if he will be the next great Tennessee back or the next Ja'Kouri Williams. Not knocking Ja'Kouri just comparing the fact that he was a very highly rated AP back when he signed with UT.

Anyone want an Oku avatar? First to claim it...
