The Official Johnny Majors Classic Game Thread: #24 Tennessee @ #17 Pittsburgh, 3:30 PM ET, ABC

This is turning into a defensive slug fest. I did not expect this Pitt D. I don't think anyone did. You need kickers to win in games like this. I'm REALLY impressed with the production of the D tonight. They are getting to the QB.

The first play of the drive produced a wide open receiver in the endzone and a ball that hit him in the chest. The Pitt DB grabbed his arm just enough to cause an incomplete pass but the play was excellent.

He didn’t catch it, regardless of how it happened. It still put us behind the chains.

I get that the explosive plays are fun, but they're just so infrequently successful that it's just a wasted down more often than not. Hell, the shot to Tillman was this close to being a TD, yet wasn't, and that's a lot better than most turn out.

You don't need these dynamite highlight reel plays to beat Pitt.

I watched again and I honk it was a good no call. Tillman couldn’t find the ball.

The hand fighting I had no problem with. But just before the ball gets there the db grips Tillman's arm just enough to not let him get his hands to the ball in time.
