War in Ukraine

What us sane people see is a country whose false identity has been forged out of centuries of failure and embarrassment and who missed the bus to be part of the West and is full of jealous rage. Russia is like a mildly retarded teenager from a trailer park suffering from acromegaly. They are big, they are kind of strong, but they are clumsy and not smart. They can't figure out why the cool kids won't hang out with them so they essentially mingle with worse, much weaker versions of themselves at the trailer park down the street where the trailers sit on blocks.

Epic run right there. Put it on a shelf.

LMAO that is some quality stupid ass propaganda right there Moe well done! I especially liked the dissecting of the western media reporting and reinterpreting what they really said 😂

TLDR for everyone. This is usual 4d chess and all is going according to the plan even though Ukraine is indeed kicking Russia’s teeth in right now

Don't want to oversell this because its early but the Ukrainian counter-offense is off to a great start. We'll see if they have the steam to keep it going.

So, about that great Kherson offensive...

Wounded Ukrainian soldiers reveal steep toll of Kherson offensive

The soldiers said they lacked the artillery needed to dislodge Russia’s entrenched forces and described a yawning technology gap with their better-equipped adversaries. The interviews provided some of the first direct accounts of a push to retake captured territory that is so sensitive, Ukrainian military commanders have barred reporters from visiting the front lines.

“We lost five people for every one they did,” said Ihor, a 30-year-old platoon commander who injured his back when the tank he was riding in crashed into a ditch.

Ihor had no military experience before Russia’s invasion of Ukraine on Feb. 24. He made a living selling animal feed to pig and cow farms. His replacement as platoon commander also has no previous military experience, he said.

Counter-battery radar systems automatically detected and located Ukrainians who were targeting the Russians with projectiles, unleashing a barrage of artillery fire in response.

Russian hacking tools hijacked the drones of Ukrainian operators, who saw their aircraft drift away helplessly behind enemy lines.

This is an English translation of a Russian milblogger. He espouses the doctrine of Russian war that attacks on hospitals and the wounded are fair game.

"Today, the RF Armed Forces are inflicting massive strikes on Kharkov , withdrawing congestion sites and basing areas of various formations one after another. For a long time the regional center has not been bombed so powerfully.

And yes, they also covered the hospital, where many wounded of the Armed Forces of Ukraine accumulated, rushing to Balakliya , Izyum and Kupyansk . The hit is extremely effective.

Once again, we want to express a timid hope: we hope that a fundamental decision has been made to stop playing war and engage in the complete destruction of the enemy without moral and spiritual anguish."

Старше Эдды

This is why the Russians are equated with trailer trash.

And yet both counter offensives continue to advance Moe. And based on picture after picture of captured Russian armor I’d guess they are doing fine on net equipment losses.

Can you give us the Russian MoD propaganda statement on the 237th guards airborn regiment that was involved in the Bucha massacre and reported completely destroyed yesterday? I have to believe they’ve got some special line of bull 💩 to refute that. TIA Moe!

LMAO this Homer carrying that Pootin water. On Sept 7 this moron reports the offensive had been halted due to heavy losses (see Moe’s post above for similar content). Today the Ukraine flag flies over Iyzum 😎

And yes stooges I know Iyzum is at Kharkiv not Kherson

Informative, but there's been so much movement in the last three days that this is kind of dated already.

Agreed the situation is dynamic but the analysis is still helpful to understand doctrine and tactics as well as measure what is actually happening now because it is following closely to how he projected it. Next step will be to see what the result will be? successful zerg or overreach?

I dont see how you can compare that analysis to Chris Cappy. This guy sounds like an intel analyst giving mostly his opinions, whereas Cappy is giving a clear and far more granular assessment of man and material movements as well as a good understanding of the impact of the weaponry being brought to bear and tactical plays of each side.

I think the New Atlas guy has some interesting observations but he doesnt support them sufficiently. I get that he was USMC in the past but again, it is a state department level analysis and not a military one.

A large portion of the Russian population has this weird fictionalized belief system that essentially makes Russia out to be some sort of quasi Nazi-Scientology-Master Race thing. They think Russian is a race, and the top one. They think, like you mentioned, that WW2 was Russia reacting and ALWAYS gloss over the fact they were Hitlers allies during the early part of the war. They believe things like humans originated out of Russia, all major historical figures were actually Russian, NATO and the US is itching to take them over (lol no one cares about them). Its a constant deluge of nutbaggery.

Dang, you pretty much nailed it there.

Someone may have already posted this, but the AP is reporting that Russia has officially announced the pull back of troops in this region, and is transferring them to the Donbas. Of course Russia is claiming that this was their goal all along.
