Culinary, Arts, Thread.

A buddy of mine mentioned us heading to Greenville, SC, for something like the Rhythm and Roots deal in Bristol.
I don't know if I will try to go or not.
I used to love eating at the Beacon Drive In in Spartanburg.
The Peace Center in Greenville has great concerts there in a fantastic venue. We haven’t been since Covid, but we’re hoping to go this coming season. SC is definitely nonchalant about Covid protocols, which is kinda annoying. Maybe if we get a second booster. We got off lightly the one time we got it (thank you, Atlanta airport), and I’d rather not roll the dice again. (Greenville Costco stuck to their guns throughout, and I admire the hell out of them for being willing to put up with the crap they were getting.)

the country ham, redeye gravy, and grits are a must fo sho
Edit: I always get the country ham and redeye gravy when we go, regardless of the time of day.
Last time I went was before a round of golf at Red Tail. I didn't go for country ham because I didn't want to be thirsty all day long on the golf course. That's not a knock on the ham per se, but it does happen.

He’s going for a look 😒
There are times that I like to think that Mikey is a vegan with a highly successful organic truck farm, with a specialty in Asian vegetables (bok choy!!) and trolling the hell out of us, but then, as much as I like to deny reality, I have to let that little fantasy go. 😞
