I know the knock on Barnes is he flunks the test in the NCAA tournament, but factually, he has brought the program to a level that hasn't been seen before, consistently bring in highly rated players. I think he may get that first FF soon, and then he will probably retire, but he has established a coaching tree that the University could reach out to if they so desired. I think the BB Vols are set for a while. But no, wouldn't even consider the OP's question.

This is as stupid as the OP. That’s like saying making the playoff is no different than making the Outback Bowl. “Ring counting culture” has truly melted our sports brains - you don’t have to win a title in any sport for it to be a great season.
