Gun control debate (merged)

Yea that’s a great idea these mass shooters already have a super easy time killing a ton of people so let’s make it even easier for them by giving them helicopters and tanks 🤣🤣🤣

Please share the details on who’s giving out helicopters and tanks. I want to get in line early.

. Very few have stopped them, very few
Probably because they were unarmed. Just like it was a bad idea to have cops facing heavily armed bad guys at a disadvantage it is a bad idea to have civilians at a disadvantage.

Unless you want more victims.

So, a 17 year old picked up an m4 that would fire auto rounds or a 3 round burst and grenades from a surplus store? Also, you act like this is common place. Please provide links to when this happened.
Yep it happened, now the guy that sold it to him was fired and luckily the kid didn’t go on a shooting spree but yea that happens all the time now.

You really haven't priced helicopters or tanks lately, have you?

Second point directly targeting your statement about football stadiums and the like: since it would be "super easy" to acquire Apache helicopters and tanks by homicidal maniacs, then just acquiring a small corporate jet and flying it into a packed stadium would be even easier. I'm actually surprised and wonder why all the "nut jobs" have not been doing that already. Mass killing on an industrial scale. Even easier, get a big semi-tractor trailer, only fractionally as expensive as a private jet (or twin-engined prop plane for that matter) and orders of magnitude less than an Apache or tank, and just run through the nearest crowd.

Happens all the time, but has one anecdote. And it sounds like the system worked. Dude was fired, likely facing charges, and yet somehow, despite there being a machine gun in the hands of a 17yo a mass shooting didnt happen.

The odds that a 17yo walked into a store and purchased an NFA regulated weapon is more remote than having a naked Margot Robbie ride up on a unicorn and hand you a winning Megamillion lottery ticket.

My dad used to have an old WW2 frag grenade that was turned into a cigarette lighter. I used to scare people with it by pulling the pin on it and yelling, "I'm killing everyone". I'd probably get thrown in jail these days for that.
If I could just get my hands on the real thing and a few automatics from the local surplus store that would be great.

And let me clarify my previous post and say I’m not for banning all guns like I said I own 4. But we gotta do something about the war weapons and Ak-47’s. I don’t need a AK and grenade to turkey and squirrel hunt lol

Can your shoot up a parade or church with a shotgun and 38 special and kill a few people? Absolutely you can but you can kill so much more and at a more effective rate with an assault rifle and you can have terrible aim too. So it’s no surprise all the nut job mass shooters are opting for the assault rifles.

I'd check the stats on that one.

Government has no right to tell me what I can and can't own. People's trust in the government is mind-blowing.
