OldTimer’s Dugout - Off Topic Thread

My wife went from begrudgingly moving down here and secretly cussing me the whole time to loving it and refusing to leave.

Same here, my wife did NOT want to move to Louisville and we almost split over it while we were still dating.

Now she loves it and we recently had a chance to apply to move to a “dream” location within my company and she didn’t want it

I don't want to seem to be like a debbie downer here & you can ignore this but, I just recently read where Louisville's crime rate (shootings carjackings assaults muggings etc, etc.) has gotten way out of control. Y'all be careful & look over your shoulder when you go places.

Glad to meet another Vol living in hell - uh, I mean Alabama.
It's still the "Tennessee Valley " so there's that! Grew up in Knoxville, lived there for 43 years. I now live in Madison, Al. The Huntsville metro area is the largest in the state and has been voted one of the best places to live in the US. Downside is that there are still a few 'bammers around.

True, it has.

But when I say “Louisville,” I really mean “the suburbs.”

We live in the statistically safest zip code in the county. (Louisville and Jefferson Co consolidated in 2003, similar to Nashville and Davidson Co)

Olson is well above average imho. He has lots of upside left too.
Olson was above average last year. He has been just average this season. Of qualifying 1B in the NL, he is above average in doubles (1st), walks(1st), and total bases (5th). Below average in strikeouts (2nd most). He ranks right in the middle of the pack in all of the other major categories (7th-9th). Pretty much the definition of an average starting player at your position.

Just don't let your guard down for a minute. Things happen in a blink of an eye.
