Problem for Carvin is he's an IOL. NFL values guys who can play OT more than they do IOL.Jerome Carvin should be getting that kind of attention more that Wright honestly. Dude is a stud. 1st round talent all day. He's also more proven. Didn't give up a sack last year and believe me that can't be easy in the SEC
That doesn't mean he can't be a 1st round talent. 8 IOL were drafted within the 1st or 2nd round this last draft. 5 in the first. If Carvin stays healthy and has an even better season he will definitely have 1st round potential. That would be awesome for CarvinProblem for Carvin is he's an IOL. Proof?
Or it didn't happen @BigOrangeTrain !
ESPN take:
OT Francis Mauigoa
6-foot-6, 325 pounds
ESPN 300 rank: 5
Top schools: Alabama, Florida, Hawai'i, Miami, Tennessee, USC
Mauigoa is a five-star prospect and the No. 1 tackle in the class out of IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida. He visited each of the six schools in his top list in June and will announce his decision on July 4.
Francis Mauigoa is a five-star offensive tackle recruit in the Class of 2023. ThreeStep
Though he has kept things pretty close to the vest without tipping his hat, Tennessee seems to have a good shot, especially because he has a friendship with Tennessee quarterback commit Nicholaus Iamaleava, who committed to the Vols back in March. But USC is also a school that could come out on top.
Prediction: Tennessee
