Looking forward to a new week, and hopefully more commitments. Yesterday marked 6 years since my dad's passing. And with last Sunday being Father's Day, I felt like I was just flailing all week long, especially yesterday. Kept trying to be light-hearted, but at the same time, wasn't really feeling it. Not sure we ever get over those we've lost and moving on is a lot easier said than actually done. Especially on those sad anniversary dates.

I go to México and yuns go on a commit spree. Look like I’ll have to stay longer. What a shame.

We get a commit so you steal a pastry cart? I'm not quite sure of the correlation but a couple more commits and you be having to bury a body in a remote location.

I don't have a regular doctor. Any kind of specialist I should seek out to save time?
Orthopedic surgeon and/or Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation specialist if they do sports and spine care. If you find a PM&R in an Orthopedic group, probably the most appropriate to see.
If it’s been going on for more than 3 weeks, ask for an EMG/ nerve conduction studies of that right arm as well as the MRI of your cervical spine.

Same symptoms , had mri after xray and it confirmed it was caused by a herniated disc in my neck. 54000 dollar surgery btw. The numbness in right thumb and pointy finger is still there couple months after surgery, but slightly less than before. Still weak in right hand

Dr parker did mine out of st Thomas nash

Sucks, prepare yourself mentally for a long stretch of pain

Can take a year after surgery for complete recovery. If the pain is going away, then the numbess and tingling will follow. Weakness can be the last improvement. Depends on how much of the nerve was damaged. Follow the therapy directions closely and continue long after the pain has resolved.

@KB5252: Only about 5% of spine patients need surgery. Seeking treatment early and including McKenzie cervical protocol as the main cervical exercise makes a huge difference. I recommend the DDS Max cervical traction collar (best price on Amazon) for daily use multiple times until healed. Make sure you get the DDS Max specifically, many of the others are pure trash.
