Tennessee Lady Vols Softball 2022.

You can "stay" wherever you'd like. There was never a time that she wasn't coming back. If you want to ignore another piece of evidence like you did with the academic program and re-signing multiple NIL deals, that's fine. All I can give you is the evidence. If you'd prefer to rely on what you heard from someone at the games that didn't know what they were talking about, that's your deal.
Just a few weeks ago you mentioned it was a possibility she could not be back do in part to her injury/history. Even after you previously stated her NIL and graduation date of May 2023. Can’t play both sides. Like I said. I’ll stay where I’m at.

is she wearing a Tennessee uniform? Because it was said she wouldn’t be back at Tennessee. No mention of pitching this summer. Best of luck to the young lady but like I said, I’ll stay where I’m at. If she’s back I’ll be the first to…awesome.
I can’t imagine Rogers in any other uniform beside a Tennessee one. It’ll be a nightmare if that were to happen. She loves it here & bleeds orange.

Rogers pitched a combine no perfect game with Lindsay Lopez. Good for her! Also side note, Lopez is currently in the portal, in my dreams she would come to UT. From what I saw from her as ASU she was very good. 67-70 with a nasty off speed and from the left side would be really good to complement Rogers.

It was said she was just not going to continue to play do to the injuries and the toll it’s taken on and off the field. And focus on her future.

Seems odd that she is pitching for a team this summer if injuries were her concern it would seem.
Not really, summer, she's feeling good right now to pitch and it's a chance to represent her country (TC Colorado). Those don't come around often.

I think it’s mostly the offensive they are looking for. I mean I feel like nowadays I see the trend of average fielders, great hitters getting the nod over great fielders, average hitters. You can always practice defensive reps, but the offense might take a little longer to come along. This is just my opinion, I could totally be wrong.

With OK setting the std right now with hitting I can see the game change, again, as you say with good hitters-avg D and have 3-4 good D players who aren't there with hitting yet just being D specialist to use in the late innings to protect a lead. Just like they use pinch runners now. Can get more PT time for some players to.

seems like quite a few new frosh and transfers coming into the LV program --- how is this possible if Coach Weekly is the ogre and incompetent that some people commenting here seem to think she is? Inquiring minds want to know.

Tennessee has always been good at getting talent -- even though the talent is not the level it used to be. Developing and/or keeping that talent in Knoxville? Different story.

I realize you're being facetious but very few people outside of Knoxville think she's a good coach.

He wants to play both sides of the fence so he can be right no matter what in the end. He's always been that way.

just saw that OK signed a SS transfer from ASU, which got me to wondering ---- who is slated to take over at SS for the LVs now that Ivy Davis is gone?

Lair/Pannell would be MI to get the first look I'd assume, although Pannell is slated as a 3B she's not taking Puni off 3B. I don't see Sarvis or Mosley being a factor early on but depth at MI. I like Sarvis but will need to get quicker, Mosley I haven't seen in a few years or heard her name in either good or bad since then either.

Let's get our guy @Vol_Softball (@briancrice) to the top

The Golden Mics are specifically focused on softball broadcasters, both television and radio, national and local. Today, we’ll unveil the nominees in each category. Each award’s winner will be decided by a combination of fan vote and voting by a panel of experts. Fan voting will begin via Twitter on June 23rd

I dont think Lair has the arm for SS. Dont know enough about any others to even guess.

Pannell has the arm but not sure which side she would go to first, it may be a back and forth in the fall. Both Mosely and Sarvis are SS currently but don't provide the bat that Pannell does. Sarvis has some pop in her bat (Marc Weekly kid) and Mosely is like Lair in box, has some pop and can put it down from what I remember. Mosely and Sarvis are playing travel together along w/Pickens and Ahlin for Carolina Elite. Which is good for Jenna as she played for a lower middle of the road travel team.

Interesting because Lyons has eligibility remaining. OU lost their 3B and also I think 1B, so I’d expect her to play most likely at 3B. She isn’t taking Lyons spot, that’s for sure.

Not sure if Tennessee wants to revisit a local kid, but Cayden Baker from Powell hit the portal. Had solid time at Texas AM in OF, speed and hitter/slapper.
