They should finance a movement to amend the constitution if they feel so strongly, otherwise they need to STFU.

Weird how we didn’t have the frequency of these incidents 40 years ago. It’s almost as if the environment (society) today is more likely to create mental health issues.
Well 81 million (allegedly) voted for a mentally unstable president because they were offended by things the last guy said. If that isn't evidence of a mentally deficient society, I don't know what is.

I care about their opinions as much as I care about yours.

And I care about your opinion even less than you care about mine.
The point is, when a strong anti gun regulation stance makes you unelectable, you will see politicians fleeing from the anti gun regulation stance. We are moving there ever so slowly.
