He said the silent part out loud.

Rep. Louie Gohmert says Peter Navarro indictment means Republicans 'can't even lie to Congress or lie to an FBI agent or they're coming after you'

"Title 18 U.S. Code § 1001 maintains that lying to "the executive, legislative, or judicial branch of the Government of the United States" is a felony. The code does not mention a political party"

I just want to know when it is going to be a felony or even illegal for congress or the FBI to lie to us, the American people. THAT is the REAL crime we should be looking at and prosecuting. That goes for BOTH parties.

How do you know a politician is lying? Their lips are moving.

I concur with your assessment. Maybe one day.

Include the media as well. I completely support freedom of the press. I don’t support freedom of fiction packaged and delivered as “news”.

You did a good job like democrats do. You conveniently left out the parts before and after the quote where he makes the comparison to what happens to lying democrats. No need to put it in proper context, amiright?

Move the court cases out of DC . No way you are going to get an unbiased jury or judge in Washington, DC.

While we are at it move all departments of the government out to locations that make more sense so they cannot take advantage of this advantage.

Maybe I trust that people will actually read the whole article? I have no nefarious intent here.

Yes, I'm harder on my own party because I expect better of them.

Maybe you should reject the notion of a tribe and live by your beliefs and convections. You’ll find out that they ultimately are no different in the big picture

You’re right. I would say the difference between the middle 90% is a matter of shades of gray…not much material difference.

The problem is people reject the tails - the other 10%, the ones who are actually different - as too extreme.

It’s because I’m old.
I’ve learned a thing or 2 along the way.

How about we get rid of a bunch of these departments instead of relocating?

There's a bigger difference between average Americans and the "leaders" in DC than there is a difference between leader factions.

I think this minimally expanded quote provides better context:

Republican Rep. Louie Gohmert, of Texas, said Friday that the Peter Navarro indictment points to "a two-tiered justice system."

"If you're a Republican, you can't even lie to Congress or lie to an FBI agent or they're coming after you," Gohmert said during a Newsmax appearance.
