Here we go. All you trumpet libertarians (fake libertarians, lets face it, you went for the money). Marshall law. A time and a place. It is done to preserve freedom. It is done in the name of self defense. The population knows it is necessary because the people trust their leader. The world is not black or white. The world is not right or left. The world is right and wrong, and that changes due to circumstance. It's not concrete is it?

So you realize Zelenskyy declared martial law weeks ago as well and instantiated curfews right? I mean … there is a foreign army invading their country, seizing their territory, and killing their citizens after all.

The Libertarian concept is generally good. The party name should be the Fruitcake Party - I've never met a "dedicated" Libertarian that wasn't off the wall batshi crazy - maybe sane ones exist ... somewhere. Every four years the Fruitcake Party emerges from hibernation and produces a Clown Prince to run for president, is found immaterial, and goes back into hibernation.

The 2 major parties have recently produced Clinton, Trump, and Biden. They could very well recycle all 3 next cycle (plus Harris). But hey, tell me more about the fruitcake party

Basically, I think there should be a third party, I really do. I think we need to expand the two party system and throw a monkey wrench in the works, but I need one that is not desperate and full of despots. I need a serious party. Dems are healthier for me than chaos and blatant lies. I can't take the anarchy any more at my age.

I think the US is taking advantage of the situation. But this is not a war they wanted enough to instigate it.

Anyone would be dumb not to take advantage. Heck the US and Russia have been fighting proxy wars against each other since 1950 at least.

I am amused that they think they proxy war revelation is supposed to say something.

The libertarian party’s worst enemy is the libertarian party members. I don’t know that I’d call them full on fruitcake but they are highly dysfunctional. Like pj said the two main parties are together at a nadir of effectiveness and the libertarians still cannot get their act together and win some seats.

The Fruitcake Party hasn't come up with anybody as electable as the major parties. It pops out of the woodwork (or more likely the rabbit hole) like clockwork every four years. It has never shown any plan to build from the ground up - that would require sticking around and actually getting some people in lower positions. It's a clown show.

As far as the other part. Of course, it would be nice to have virtually no regulations and no bureaucracies running things. In reality that would make as much sense as eliminating the NCAA and all other football governing bodies, eliminating officials on the field, and playing the game. The result would be anarchy. As much as you'd like to think adults are adults, we don't act much like it without guidelines and people to keep order.

Worrying about electable produces the clowns I posted above. Maybe stop being a fruitcake voter and actually look at the issues. Nah, just pencil whip that ballot

The NCAA will be gone soon and sports will survive.

No, there are plenty of claims of Ukrainian victories out there, but few videos proving those victories. The most recent example being the river crossing where Russia supposedly took huge losses, some even claiming up to 1k Russian soldiers died there. Yet, there is nothing but a couple of drone pictures of the aftermath.

I don't link those Telegram images here because they are graphic. If people want to search them out they are easy to find.

No one is 100% anything. Especially when it comes to aligning with a party or its members. Especially here in the US where the parties very rarely overlap their claimed political stances.

You are wanting to make the war in Ukraine the single item that determines party or ideology, and that is a blatantly bad stance to take. But it fits your typical post patterns. Someone either agrees with 100% of what you say or they are in the death cult.

Wait, so you are claiming that there are active videos of russian bombardments and advancements during actual combat that show the final moments of victory? Or are they after shots, showing the damage, and whatever Russia wants shown. I have only seen the latter.

The former, from either side is a confusing mess that doesnt really show the viewer enough to know who is winning. At least imo, maybe others are better at deciphering them.

Russia one month ago on NATO expansion:


“Finland's accession to NATO will cause serious damage to bilateral Russian-Finnish relations and the maintaining of stability and security in the Northern European region,” the Russian Foreign Ministry said earlier this month. “Russia will be forced to take retaliatory steps, both of a military-technical and other nature, in order to neutralize the threats to its national security that arise from this.”



Russia now:

“As for the expansion, including the accession of two prospective new members, Finland and Sweden, I would like to inform you, colleagues, that Russia has no problems with these states,” Putin said Monday at a summit of the Russian-led military alliance, the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO). “No problems at all!”



The reason for the 180? Putin had to save face with the people he overlords. And it's not like he can do anything about it even if he wanted to. Clowns.

I am thinking more and more Putin got played by the us and we instigated this via back room leaked security data. Think both countries are major pawns right now.
