Not really. That isn't what Article 5 actually suggests. There is no obligation. If it fits the terms of Article 5 and they request NATO aid then NATO is obligated to respond. I know you’re playing one of your stupid ass games again but the conditions and limits on Article 5 and clear and we are obligated to respond to a valid request.
I want our border secure and I want the borders of the former Soviet republics secure. The two are not mutually exclusiveThen if it does, then I should see far more concerns about the Mexican border and nowhere near as many posts regarding the Ukrainian border. But it looks like that in both cases, all these red hats want to do is virtue signal rather than at the very least fix our own borders.
How in the hell does Mexican border security tie in with Ukrainian border security?I want our border secure and I want the borders of the former Soviet republics secure. The two are not mutually exclusive
We played this game last night. 2014 and 2022. Now you’re going to claim US violated them in 2013 when they sanctioned Belarus for human rights violations against their people. Now play connect the dots for me and show how all that absolves Pootin from adhering to the agreement and clears the way for him to wage war on Ukraine. When?
I never saw you post jack last night about what you were talking about. You just threw out random azz accusations. Then your boomer azz got a few in you and started to get tipsy and spout off nonsense.
It’s pretty clear what the obligations entailIt isn't an obligation to act.
Thank you for posting exactly what I said. It is not an obligation. It’s pretty clear what the obligations entail
"The Parties agree that an armed attack against one or more of them in Europe or North America shall be considered an attack against them all and consequently they agree that, if such an armed attack occurs, each of them, in exercise of the right of individual or collective self-defense recognized by Article 51 of the Charter of the United Nations, will assist the Party or Parties so attacked by taking forthwith, individually and in concert with the other Parties, such action as it deems necessary, including the use of armed force, to restore and maintain the security of the North Atlantic area.”
There is no act committed to date which absolves Pootin to just ignore Russia’s non aggression commitments per the Budapest Agreement. Russia and their officials are responsible for their own actions not those of others. And the acts of others do not magically allow Russia to vacate it’s commitments for expediency to justify their invasion agenda.I try hard not to ignore anything. Can you just repost what your claim is. I'm not sure WTF incident you are talking where Russia violated.
WTF did they do to violate the Budapest Agreement? G**damn!! It is a simple azz question I'm asking you!!There is no act committed to date which absolves Pootin to just ignore Russia’s non aggression commitments per the Budapest Agreement. Russia and their officials are responsible for their own actions not those of others. And the acts of others do not magically allow Russia to vacate it’s commitments for expediency to justify their invasion agenda.
Had Russia maintains their obligations of non aggression against Ukraine there would have been no need for any Minsk protocols.
Sorry you think so. I would think it merely question of consistencyHow in the hell does Mexican border security tie in with Ukrainian border security?
Two different continents and half a world away from each other.
Now you are starting to sound silly.
And you don't think NATO played any role in this?Sorry you think so. I would think it merely question of consistency
You know, I have been greatly interested in Russian history and Culture for half a century now. I admire its art, music, and its incomparable literature. My choice of screen name was not chosen on a whim. It breaks my heart to see Slav battling Slav. This situation did not have to unfold like this. Russia and Ukraine could have become the natural allies that history and culture destined them to be. But Russia , however understandable their motives might have been, has driven a wedge between these peoples that will endure for generations. You don’t build lasting alliances by sending tanks across a border. THAT Is why national sovereignty matters. Ukraine needed a big brother, not a conqueror
