I remember after one of the games from this weekend, Coach V said our lineup was impatient at first, but then grew more patient at the plate as the game went on. That didn’t happen tonight. The were impatient pretty much all night.

Was the umpire awful? Yes. Tn Tech adjusted to the zone and our pitchers better than we adjusted to theirs. If the kids flipping in 74mph slurves and getting an extra 4 inches our guys had to adjust the approach. They didn't, it happens. They'll learn from it.

Hats off to Tech. Here is the plan and always has been the plan… Host a regional… Host a Super regional… Make it to Omaha and win the National Championship. My question to all of us including myself tonight. Are all of the above mentioned still attainable and in play?? They were definitely impatient this weekend. And of course it bites us swinging wood bats against the junk TTU throws

Yeah true. Knoxville-esque anyway. LNS and Smokies Stadium are closer together than Straw Plains and Turkey Creek, and both of those are technically in city of Knoxville.

Strawberry Plains isn’t Knoxville lol but it’s Knox Co. Knoxville city limits end at the Houston River on the east side.

Would you rather him only give you 2 or 3 innings over the weekend, or 4 or 5 innings? If he went three innings then he’s probably only giving you 2, maybe 3 innings over the weekend.

Who cares about TTU? Assuming we’re not going 55-1 (which we weren’t going to do, obviously), I’d much rather drop a game to them than Bama, Florida, Georgia, etc. left on our schedule. The wood bats seemed fun until they didn’t, but that would have been a garbage performance at the plate even if we had been swinging 90s aluminum.

This team has definitely looked a little less sharp in the last week or so (all relative, of course) — hopefully this is the mid season slump!

What they did in 2018 has absolutely nothing to do with their team this year. This Tech team has already lost as many games as that team did all season and already has more OVC loses.

Because they have a good team..its baseball any given night....and it doesnt matter what both teams record is

It is, though, I checked a map before I posted just because I felt like making a point There's this weird little sliver right at the exit that KTown annexed.



They grabbed the east half of Turkey Creek, too, like to the movie theater maybe. I live in Oak Ridge but work at UT, I do a lot of mental gymnastics to convince myself my commute isn't way too long lol.

However, the strawberry plain exit is, in fact, inside city limits. But as i previously stated, Strawberry Plains pike exit is not in Strawberry Plains.

Half correct, he’s also half correct. Strawberry plains proper is part of Knox, Sevier, and Jefferson county, but is not in the city of Knoxville.

Hopefully they’ll learn from seeing the junk throws. I remember last season we were on a hot streak with winning conference series only to lose that midweek game to Lipscomb. This feels like deja vu.
