The Official #1 Tennessee vs Tennessee Tech Tuesday Game Thread (6:30PM EST) (SEC NETWORK +)

Keys to beating the Vols this season:
1) a steady diet of off-speed pitches
2) run like hell when you get men on base

Question: if they continue to throw the same pitch over and over again, is there not something you can do as a batter? Swing sooner? Later? I didn’t play baseball - so genuinely don’t know.

Hey, if they lose, I kinda like it.

Losses let ya know its not easy. Been pretty damn record setting easy for us so far this season. Its all about the post season boys and girls. A loss here and there keeps ya grounded. AND, its baseball. Ya don't win em all. That's why the nation is freaking out over 31-1. It just does not happen often in this sport. Anyway, back to the action....
Sanity prevails. The football mentality is still strong in many new baseball fans.

The sky is not falling. They are using wooden bats. Juiced bats. What in the heck are you even talking about? And we are chasing bad pitches.
I'm talking about the narrative that the rest of the conference has been insinuating and we repeatedly get bat checked over. Beck made a comment post game about the vandy incident and he said they would hit the same with wood. Stop trying to attack just because you get overly upset by a game.

Keep playing d and hope like hell we get the bats going. It’s not the end of the world if we lose, but damn I’d love a win.

This Tech pitcher couldn’t break a window from 10 ft away.

Make him throw freaking strikes.

Wow. It’s baseball so I expect adversity and a loss to an SEC opponent, but I didn’t anticipate struggling to hit the ball tonight. Our Vols can’t make contact against this guy with four (maybe more) consecutive strikeouts.

We have our 4, 5 and 6 hitters coming up bottom of the 8th. Hopefully we hold here and the bats wake up. I’m just surprised we can’t make any contact.

The off speed pitches have been executed very well by the TTU pitcher. Has UT off balance For sure.

I’m not upset about the game at all. We are swinging at garbage pitches. Bats are checked every game and every series. It’s a non issue chicken little.
