I absolutely hate that we just have to expect 6-7 open spots every season now….this is crazy…

What a miserable off-season this has been and it’s only been 3 weeks.

Miserable? Tamba, Diboundje and Bailey…not sure that moves the needle at all, BHH ok but again not sure that’s even huge. It’s not as if Santi and JJJ opted to stick in the draft and Zeigler transferring back home.

If the rumors are true about BHH, I kind of like it being easy to let players move on instead of becoming a malcontent. Chemistry is important and by all accounts, the team last year seemed to have great chemistry.

Hate to say it but BHH always felt like a square peg in a round hole personality wise with this staff. One thing i think this staff prides itself in is bringing in guys who play with consistent effort. Think they compromised on their principles a little with BHH with how talented he was, us needing a big especially badly, him being from a local aau program we have connections with. I don’t think we were necessarily his original #1 choice and I don’t think he was ours, more a relationship of necessity

Yeah I’m not really concerned about any of the ones that have left so far. The portal makes it easier to absorb these losses and I still like the building blocks of Ziegler, aidoo and mashack from the freshman class.

Agreed! I hated how the 1&done rule was preventing A team from building continuity but the portal is 1&done on steroids. The Admiral / GW group might be the last guys we get to see grow together for 3 or 4 years. I’m going to miss that

That we could be better? It’s not like all 6 were transfers, had a senior and NBA draft.

I was wondering the same thing actually. I think LA Tech has been solid, but definitely seems odd

Coming out of high school he was very lowly ranked.

Trust me, I get that we theoretically could improve from all these departures, but that isn’t known yet. I need to see Clark and Gainey produce some commits before I start getting excited. It’s not like we’ve killed it with the portal in recent years.
