War in Ukraine

If I were Indians, I'd take that discounted oil and produce discounted refined oil products and let the world prove the crude came from Russia. If you take delivery from multiple sources, who knows what came from which batch of crude. Take Russian lemons and make your own lemonade.

I’m just glad to see so much of this Putin winning. Getting paid less than everyone else for the same product, masterful.

The college for all idiocy is killing us; some professions require it, but a lot of what is taught in universities is drivel. Again you are right on generations and skills and incentive. One thing you didn't touch on that I do is corporate management - it sucks - at least to a lot of us. Older management grew up in the business before running it - now we pump out baby managers who think they know it all - and there's too many of them - and too many layers of management; I can't see them doing much more significant than something like Amazon which is really an updated Sears knockoff. We're service oriented today when we need to be industrial again.
Oh, I agree. we have far too many people in management that either "fell up" or simply have no experience at all in the field.

One other killer is our cost of labor and supposedly our standard of living. It's all inflationary, and we've priced ourselves out of business. There's no way that the incessant union demands for more pay and benefits with no matching productivity gains could ever bee seen as anything but inflationary - mob rule style, and politicians supported unions because it got them income and reelections. We need to be oriented more toward keeping people working than keeping them supplied with cheap toys/electronics and other distractions.
Meh, outside of the AFL-CIO, I don't think unions are that big of a deal, at least from what I've seen. Obviously, you have abuses and productivity could be better in some instances, but there is far more fat that could be trimmed by having better focus and direction... which is a management issue. Wages haven't kept up with inflation over the last 40 years. Its real easy for us to pick on the workers.

some interesting points but has too much "Ukraine was asking for it" vibe for my tastes

I think the point about keeping foreign influence out of the house could be made without ragging on Ukrainian actions
Was harsh criticism of the people of Ukraine or of Zelensky and the Kiev regime? That Kiev regime hasn't done the people of Ukraine any favors.

Unions are far less a problem now. They did a tremendous amount of damage in the past, and we are probably seeing their sins now. Look at the yearly UAW strikes and how they leveraged it against the two other companies not in the barrel that particular year. The steelworkers were as bad, and both had teamsters and other affiliated unions backing them up while the government made sure through antitrust regulations that companies couldn't use mutual support to fight back. The union labor stuff in places like nuclear plant construction was incredible - right down to sabotage to keep the work going on. For years there were few imported cars - mostly sports cars and some VWs. Couple the first OPEC power play with overpriced American behemoths, and the damn broke - Japanese imports started flooding the car market here - often with better and cheaper cars. That's the power of inflation - where one or a few events drive everything insanely and harmfully up for no reason in a vicious uncontrolled spiral.

Nor has many a government yet those other governments aren't being attacked nor are their citizens targets.

It's two different points - 1) keeping foreign influence out of the Dutch house, 2) providing a litany of Zelensky admin sins. I notice there was no list of Putin admin sins which in this particular case are considerably more substantial.

Point 1 could be made without justifying it with Point 2

Is Putin going around the world speaking to state assemblies trying to rally his cause? Or in this particular case, speaking in front of the Dutch?

Somewhere hidden away in Russia is a Ukrainian saboteur going

Google maps tells me Belgorod is quite close to the Russian/Ukrainian border. Wonder if this was one of the fuel storage centers for Russia's war efforts.

Can clearly see the helicopters in this video.

I agree there are helicopters firing rockets, but whether they are Ukrainian and the location is Belgorod is the question. The people in the background don't seem disturbed, but what looks like a couple of cats on the roof seem pretty excited about something.

Remember, Russians are chess players. They make moves after planning the next 3-4 moves, clever folks. Now, about Chernobyl, I'm skeptical about them turning it over. Putin and his circle of evil can't be trusted. It wouldn't surprise me if during their occupation of Chernobyl, they sabotaged it. And later, there's an explosion or other mishap so they can fault Ukraine's for poisoning their own country. Never underestimate how far Putin will go, and right now, he's really peeved about Ukraine pretty much making his vaunted military look like amateurish nits.

What might be Puddin's next chess move? It might already be implemented. I decided to pretend I could enter Puddin's ear, make my way into his auditory nerve, from thence, enter his brain to see what he was thinking. GASP!!!!!! Here's what I found. ;) Any and all who are Putin-lovers, fire away!!!!!

doesn't change the point in the least
What was your point? It just sounds like you have an issue with her making fair criticisms if Zelensky, but not saying anything about Putin, yet Putin wasn't the one wanting to speak to their assembly, so why insert Putin in her remarks?
