It is amazing how many incorrect assumptions you can make about me.

If a person wants to argue against our involvement here, there are plenty of worthy reasons to argue against it. With respect to using money as the primary argument, it doesn’t raise an eyebrow from me. The money we spend here is like pissing in the ocean and if we spent zero, it won’t correct our current spending behavior.

Sure they are chief, there is no Russian ethnic group or Ukrainian ethnic group except on websites that were created by people who don't know what they are talking about. They are predominantly eastern Slavic. I am sorry you think a nationality is an ethnic group. The next thing you will tell me is there is an American and Canadian ethnic group

Which ones? I've only brought up things about what you have posted specifically. You come across as a violent individual when you post about how you hope Russia suffers and has pain over this, as if the average person there is the one angling for this stuff. You're willing to shed everyone else's blood for this kind of sick fantasy you live in. I've shared several reasons outside of money to be against our involvement, all through this thread. I guess you can only string together one at a time. Shocker. What about my concerns on where weapons end up? You ignored that. What about my concern about escalation with American involvement? You've ignored that. You see, all you "well I just want to arm them" people have given the corrupt bureaucrats in power the step they need to keep going. They always take more. Always. If that isn't evident by now I don't know what to say other than that you're absolutely blind to the world.

If you're going to have principles, have them. You pussyfoot around and around and around and just weakly say "well you know this amount doesn't matter in the grand scheme" and on and on. It's weak. What does this have to do with what I posted? I said advocate for stopping wasteful spending. A nickel of wasteful spending is still wasteful spending. Have a spine. Advocate for stopping it all.

My guess is that this admin and the loony left at large could not fathom saving any amount of millions using any avenue.

I'm sorry for ukraine that it was illegally invaded. But, it was not long before that we viewed them to be ultra corrupt and involved in undermining our elections. And they paid Crack Pipe Biden for access to the big man. Now, we are their torch bearers. (Not part of your post or my reply, just an observation).

For the sake of argument, let's agree Ukraine is corrupt. How many countries that we support are not corrupt? If we went around the globe demanding that countries become uncorrupted and remain that way for some period of time before we decide they are worthy of support, most of the world would be in another sphere of influence. China is picking up countries and resources not by supporting non corrupt countries, but by buying corrupt politicians. Maybe the best way to counter corruption is to set an example and show people a better way? I'll admit in looking at South and Central America and our history that we suck at it though ... or the other option is that some ethnicities and countries are so steeped in corruption that they can't find a way out assuming there is a desire to do so.

At this point what country isn’t “corrupt”? You either have strongmen running a country or bought and paid for men running them.

Perhaps there is less corrupt and vile.
