War in Ukraine

No, that’s how bad I thought Trump was. He was so bad I couldn’t vote for him so what does that say about his opponents?
That they were running against a candidate so horrible that even some people who agreed with the policies refused to vote for him.

Does that imply that you are the solution?
I have always and will always vote for the best viable candidate.
Anything else is utter stupidity.
Yep and that's why we have shat people representing us. Just stop. Don't vote for electability bc you want to win a game you aren't winning anyway. Vote for someone who actually reps what you believe.

And that is precisely why greed is a horrible motivator.
Greed should be demonized, not celebrated; that's been our biggest downfall.

So is drive to succeed and earn more greed or motivation? Without motivation where is invention and the drive to make things happen. How do you define greed and what separates it from motivation? People here like to hold Musk in esteem; is he greedy or is he motivated? Where is a capitalistic society without motivation?

I guess it depends on the tradeoffs you willingly make in order to "succeed" and earn more.

You can take that to the county level. Many counties have a majority of the population living in a comparatively small area. Should the wishes of that small area override the wishes of the people living in the larger area?
Do people vote or square miles? That's what it boils down to.

I don't know the answer. Perhaps normalize or weigh votes to reflect the number of voters in each voting precinct? I know Chattanooga has diddled with voting districts to ensure that minorities are "fairly" represented rather than straight geographic boundaries. So we are screwing with the system anyway.

How do you decide that? Some people are driven, some aren't, some are driven by different values or goals. I personally was motivated by job satisfaction and not pay. Is someone who sees that differently greedy, or just someone with different objectives?

Same argument we've had a hundred times.
Every state has a situation where a few high population counties can override the will of the majority of counties.
Every county has a situation where a few high population towns can override the will of the majority of towns.
People vote, not square miles.......except for the big mistake.
The founding fathers screwed up on that forced compromise.

Leftists always like to try to get over on the generosity of system. There's a segment of society who want government to hand out freebies that should get a 1/3rd vote.

For the establishment you are absolutely correct, feed the lemmings their candidates and pretend there’s a difference between them. For us citizens it sucks because it won’t be long before we’re subjects instead of citizens.
The sheep have been programmed to follow the party, and they do so gleefully. It's like the desire for independence and true freedom has been bred out of Americans. It's really sad.

As horrible as that is, there choices are far superior than Trump.
A non-establishment candidate who was not horrendously despicable could have done wonders.
Biden is not a far superior candidate than Trump. Biden just happens to be part of the establishment, so he's protected. A protected moron.

Russia begins to mobilize military reinforcements for Ukraine as casualties mount, Pentagon says

The last non establishment movement was Ross Perot and we all know what happened to him. There isn’t going to be another that comes from the outside so keep voting for who you’re told to vote for and be a good little lemming thinking your team won.
Donald Trump?

Take note that they are taking regular Ukrainian soldiers alive. I'm not sure the Azov Nazis will be given that same courtesy.

I've heard differing opinions on that. Some say Russia wants some (Azov) to remain alive for trials. Others say most of the Azov guys won't be taken alive as they know their fate will be worse than death.

Also, they are going to need the regular Ukrainian soldiers alive so that they can help in security efforts after all of the dust settles. That would remove the need of having to commit as many Russian soldiers to perform that task.
