The Official Tennessee Titans thread IV

With what little or no cap space we have giving up a 2023 6th round pick for a 29 year old pro bowler who had his first season ending injury in his career was a damn good trade, you would have to be slow in the head to criticize it which of course a few posters have already lol

Who criticized it?

Saying “big if” to the potential of this trade where we lost no value is a criticism

You’d have to be slow in the head to think that. “I like what I’m reading about Woods as long as he comes back.” That’s a big caveat to liking Woods on the Titans field. There was no mention of the value given up to see if he can.

It is a good trade, but let’s not act like Woods has solved a hole at WR yet given the big if of an ACL recovery back to prior performance levels.

Nothing at WR gets solved if he can’t recover to pre injury performance. They did pay a low price to find out.

We gave up no value whether or not we get production shouldn’t clarify skepticism to performance levels. We are obviously taking a chance on his knee but losing nothing if he doesn’t help the team

You lose the opportunity cost of investing in someone else at the position in addition to the pick. It’s not a zero cost trade.

J-Rob needs to draft Velus Jones for the slot/returner and jettison Chester Rogers. Instant upgrade since Velus can also play outside as needed. He's tough, hard working, good speed as he proved at the combine, and will be a dependable pro.

Velus may be available as a free agent. I was never impressed as a return man or slot
