Kyle Smith left their program in good shape. Their two senior guards are his recruits. Last year they played a shortened schedule, but it was a bit of a disappointing year. 11-14 and 4-9 in conference. He did a good job this year on the transfer market (for SF) and they were expected to be better and had a solid year, but I think White definitely seemed like a more promising coach at the time he was hired.

Well, yes lol. I guess for me I trust this team to hit their threes more than their free throws at this point. It gives me pause late in the game if it's close and the bonus is in effect. Chandler continues to be unreliable. ZZ is usually super trustworthy, but he went on a couple game streak where he was missing.

Guess my thought is if 3’s are falling it probably ain’t close lol…but we also don’t shoot a ton of FT’s was my other thought.

I believe that coincided with his family having their accident correct? Was probably hard for him to block out the noise for a few days. I'd still trust him.

(I'm sure you're saying the same thing, just verbalizing it my way haha).

This is interesting. Defensive rebounding has basically no correlation at all to their defensive efficiency. So if they're giving up second chance opportunities, they're still just as efficient. Is that the effect of Dickinson? Seems like against a good 3pt shooting team that would not be the case.

Correct, ha! I would definitely prefer to have the threes falling intsead of the free throws if I had to choose. We hit 14 threes yesterday. If we hit 14 threes again tomorrow, we win. That's over simplifying it, but that can win the game. We got ourselves open very well yesterday, and we hit those open shots. Gotta hope we can just hit wide open shots again.

It is cheaper to Uber to Indianapolis than it is to fly from Lexington. This is insane. The cheapest airplane ticket I’ve found is fourteen-hundred dollars.

Wheeler and Toppin, and that's probably it. Washington and Sharpe will go pro. I suspect Tshiebwe will, too. Grady and Mintz graduate. Don't know about Brooks.

They have Livingston and Wallace coming in, and I assume Cal will take more transfers.

Last minute prices can be expensive, but airfare in general now is nuts. My wife needs to fly down to Knoxville and flights are like $2600

Airlines have been warning customers the last 4-5 days that prices may increase significantly because their prices haven’t kept up with gas increases.

It’s more about demand than gas prices. I’m reading ticket demand is at pre-Covid levels and they aren’t staffed or have enough flights booked to even come close to that since they all trimmed down. It’ll come way back down after they sort that out.
