So without the “manufactured products”, how do you even have a car or home exactly? That’s like saying that “my body is carbon free, except for all of the organs, skin, and other organic matter.“ You do know that almost all plastics are produced from petroleum, right? Not to mention most synthetic fabrics that are used in upholstery. Then you have the energy used in the manufacture of both your automobile and the components of your house. Do you really think the electricity used in that manufacture is all from solar and wind power? The United States is the world leader in clean energy. We have ample farmland and an array of water purification systems (salt or other)
It's high time we ramp that up even more.
My entire home is petroleum or oil free.
Car as well.
- minus the manufactured products.
The reason the United States feels it can extend its ideologies across the globe is because it's already it's own planet within itself.
We have our hands in everything, and it's not hubris to say, we can just as quickly let it all go. Lean years are ahead for this country...
But honestly it's needed.
Rebellion is innocent? And I am 100% sure those same civilians have made absolutely zero aggressive actions over that time to kick out their government and have stayed innocent. Not everybody saw Saddam as a threat. The fact of the matter is he protected religious ethnic groups in Iraq such as the Yazidis, Yarsanis, Mandeans, and Christians. When he was ousted from power those groups were no longer protected and many were persecuted. Along with many Muslims who fought against the extremist elements.
Ukrainians have been killing innocent civilians in the Donbass region since at least 2014. Is that something you are okay with? Ukraine is not innocent in all of this and neither are Western nations.
I am not saying Russia is innocent. And this is the problem I have with this forum is you guys pick and choose what people say and what to respond to. I mentioned Russia's desire to cut off Ukraine from the Black Sea. Which is clearly one thing they are doing. Only a few people responded to the questions I had on that.
NATO however had aspirations for Ukraine and Georgia to join. Russia did not want that and I believe NATO had a previous agreement where they would not expand that far.
My point is that I agree they could get something else going, I just dont think it fixes their issue. Or else I think the soviets would have tried it.First, right now they can't trade with anybody. Second, the gold scenario is just one they could use; maybe they trade Chinese/Indian goods for wheat that can't go to Africa now. The bottom line is the countries he's talking to now, have known for a long time that they get screwed in the current monetary system. They've been in talks about how to bypass the dollar in trade for a while now . I'm just saying I wouldn't be so sure they won't be able to work something out.

Yes, petroleum free living is indeed possible. As a matter of fact, it was the majority of our history. Not sure we want to go back there though

If your house is on the grid or your car is charged from the grid, both of them use coal and gas and some green energy.I was pretty clear with my original post.
My home or car do not use oil or gas.
What can i possibly do about what happened to them before they came into my care?
That's why I said "manufactured ".
While you do admin work, these useless and worthless peasants do the heavy lifting where the rubber meets the road...
I'm actually disappointed in you on this position you are taking, even though me and you don't see eye to eye on a lot of things. You are in the same category of persons as @allvol123. Your condescending attitude is problematic.
