That is one of the most FOS "explanations" of anything I've ever heard. He just asserts things with no explanation or backup, as though none is necessary. "They were not going to put them ahead of Duke, certainly, even though you could argue resume." I mean, WTF? Why not?

Remember, this appearance came on the heels of his assertion that our 2-1 head-to-head record against UK and SECT win didn't matter because he "had Kentucky ahead of Tennessee all year." UK and UT had identical SEC regular season records, identical overall records, and each had a win against an eventual #1 seed.

He wasn't just saying what he thought the committee was going to do...he was agreeing with and endorsing it. I'm sure he gets leaks from the committee.
