QBs now don’t have to be on that level because they simply don’t have the time to sit in the pocket…also acting like Heupel’s offense doesn’t allow QBs to preread a defense before the snap is laughable
Sure and how many programs are anywhere close to the talent level of Alabama in college? One maybe two programs…the ppl who liked your post are just as ignorant about football as you are. Having an elite offensive line is one of the hardest things to put together in college, it’s why finding QBs who can run out of the pocket and create with their legs is becoming a necessary tool.If you have a good OL, you have plenty of time. I watched Mac Jones have time to eat dinner in the pocket while waiting for his NFL WRs get open. The traditional pocket passer will never go away.
Honestly if the qbs he’s getting to the league aren’t that good isn’t that more impressive? Or are we going to say his offense doesn’t prepare players for the league? If it’s my kid, get him an opportunity to play at the next level what he does then is on him and his coaches. Like you said basicallyIt's not Heupels job to continue coaching them in the NFL... so why is it honestly relevant? He did a hell of a job with D Lock at Missouri. All he has to do is consistently put qbs in the league for their shot. Not be held accountable because non are HOF.
