War in Ukraine

Who is going to be fighting them then? They're a NATO member, right? I thought we were all in this together? Article 5?

Yeah, yet we arm and support Saudi Arabia.

We had a former CIA Director as president.

I wouldn’t equate the CIA with the KGB. I don’t disagree with your Saudi Arabia point but I understand it.

Did I say they were equal? I asked a question centered around your absolute claim that the US had "no" labor camps. You were wrong.

You claim to be for the little guy against the bullies, yet support arming the Saudis, yes?

Even raising the comparison is asinine. I was not wrong.

I support people that want a better life.

What else is it, then? Spit it out. All you manage to do is post one line garbage that doesn't answer anything that's posed to you. You're smarter than this, or so I thought.

What else is it? They are 1 in the same, thus the alliance.

Is it passive aggressive insult time?

We would be fighting them not the French, along with the British. The French military is and has been useless post WW1

China and Russia are one and the same? What insanity is this?

Even better: the @allvol123 solution- send the poor country in Eastern Europe arms that they'll end up just losing anyway (and knowing American military logistics will probably arrive in the "first round" of invasion with no spare parts and four rounds per gun) in the name of feels because Russia is a big bad bully.

EDIT: if you think sending arms to Ukraine would prevent Russia from success in an invasion, you're an idiot. So if your goal is to prevent Russia from having those natural resources (and to stop them from "bullying"), grow some nuts and advocate for the only action that may discourage the invasion.

True. They are polar opposites. Amazing how easily they seem to get along. Who was the putz that showed up to the Winter Olympics? Oh yea, I remember.

The guy that has an Olympic team that cannot compete under the name of the country, because they cheat so badly.

They may not be twins on every issue but they do share many common interests and methods of governance but you are correct in that Russian communism is/was not the same as Maoism. Neither have very much in common with the US especially the Chinese

The U.S. has obtained intelligence that Russian officers have received orders to launch an invasion into Ukraine. CBS News national security correspondent David Martin confirmed the information during an appearance on Face the Nation Sunday.

The intelligence suggests that Russian commanders are making military preparations and “doing everything that American commanders would do once they got the order to proceed,” Martin said.

I am a fan of vaccines against COVID. It's a crying shame that so many Ukrainians died who might otherwise have lived had political considerations not prevented them from accessing a life-saving vaccine. We've managed to cooperate with communist China during the pandemic to secure supplies necessary for mitigating the spread of the virus.
Is that your way of saying thank you Trump?

Many countries around the world share many common interests, if you boil out the abstraction. Only one of the two is a very, very near threat to the US. If you care about that above all, there's only one logical "target".

I'm watching this back and forth with you two and it is the same thing he was doing to me. The guy jumps all over the place when you've got him cornered.
I'd just like him to admit that sending arms to Ukraine is nothing but near useless feelings-based posturing at the expense of American taxpayers. That would be a nice start.

If his concerns are protecting Ukrainian resources and Ukrainian "freedom" from the Russians, sending arms is a waste of time, so he should embrace that goal and advocate for a solution that has a better chance of success at achieving that goal. To my mind, there's only one solution that can apply in that case, and I don't think he has the guts to come out and say it- in fact, he's said that he's against said solution.

This is the people you align with. The guy @Rasputin_Vol spends every day felating.
What people I align with, the United States? I'm doing a better job thinking long-term American sustainment and success than you are. You want to further indebt future generations and sacrifice opportunities for diplomacy against the largest threat in American history because of "bullies".

These are simple yes/no questions, @allvol123:

1. Do you think Ukrainian resources are valuable?
2. Do you think Ukrainian freedom is valuable?
3. Do you think a Russian invasion is imminent?
4. Do you think sending American arms to Ukraine will stifle a Russian invasion, and prevent Russian access to Ukrainian resources and oppression of Ukrainian freedom?

Actually arms would increase the possibility of dragging the war out which is a less desired route for Russia.

If Russia does this my desire is they pay immensely for murdering these people.
