The "erupted into violence" is a live link that goes to CNNs "in-depth" coverage of the Jan 6th. Apparently the political schism has only produced on instance of violence and only from one side. LOL

One thing about the left, whether here or Russia or China, they absolutely believe in disinformation and propaganda and have built some of the all time great propaganda mills. Too bad so many people on the liberal side believe them; you'd think the "party of science" would be a bit more discriminating.

There may be some "gouging" in the energy market, but not the way they make it sound. When joe axed pipelines and dems started their anti energy crusades, it pumped the commodities market - already primed by a more normal after the post-covid shutdown. The market shot prices up and producers were happy with making more on pumping less - if you call that gouging, but it's not written anywhere in a law that a business has to perform at peak efficiency or produce to the highest output. In fact economists would likely recommend operating at a sweet spot on the supply and demand curve. How you might rethink the commodities market to balance national interests and investor interests could wind up being a very scary place in the wrong hands, but there's way too much money being thrown into investment markets by retirement funds that have no other place to go.

If they want to play the blame game, then perhaps people like this should go back and review government approved corporate mergers. There's an infrastructure aspect, too. While there are a lot of different brands selling gasoline, a lot of the gas being sold by competitors comes from the same pipelines, and that sets a base price. I'm not an expert by any means on petroleum distribution, but that's how it looks - please, correct me if I'm wrong.

True, but if they put in a period, jo may pause, forget what he's doing, and walk off the stage with only part of the message sent out. I always thought biden worked to perfect his "look". Turns out he was a stutterer and practiced in front of a mirror; so he probably did "perfect" his "steely eyed" look in a mirror. When somebody is so much about image, you can almost bet they aren't much on substance.

Surely this is not true. I mean, I know there are a good number of full blown idiots in the White House, but this is above and beyond. I am not sure even the Germans can concoct a word to describe it.
