The fact that Arch Manning is not even visiting UT...

Maybe if there was only 1 school offering an NIL deal worth that much. The reality is, the sort of NIL deal Arch is likely to be offered will be very similar among all schools in discussion. You really think a difference in 50k-100k (at best) is all that relevant to someone with the fortune his family has amassed?

Furthermore, Arch Manning is someone that likely transcends local NIL deals. Would not be surprised if he signed some sort of Nike/Addidas/Under Armour deal.
I agree that Arch may get a deal for commercials including his uncles and grandpa. And I could see them being hilarious.

Again, Arch is going to expect that to come but what matters is: his safety on Saturday and his coaching on Monday-Friday that prepares him for Sunday.

Currently in the SEC, who preps QBs to play on Sunday?

I think there is a bit more to it than that. For example, Sark has coached several signal callers that have played on Sunday. In fact, there may not be another coach currently in the country who has been invovled in the development of more NFL starters than Sark.

Lane Kiffin has only been at OM a short while, but Corrall is obviously a big notch on his belt. However, the only other NFL starter he helped produce is Jalen Hurts.

Saban is Saban. Regardless if he's involved with the development, you know he's going to run an amazing program and take care of his players.

UGA is the odd choice among these and I don't understand why they are even in consideration. I know they have an uber talented team, but they are one of the worst teams in the SEC at developing NFL caliber QBs. Their OC is a relative unknown outside of UGA. He has NFL OC experience, but I wouldn't call it good experience, working for the Jags and Browns. Smart seems to prefer a game manager rather than play a QB who can actually sling it.

That's a good assessment.

I'm not convinced about Sark. His success has been largely under Nick's wing. I'm just not convinced he's that good on his on and sober. I'm open to seeing different. There's also that Ewers guy which means someone who doesn't want to hold a clipboard will hold a clipboard. I'm also unsure this B12 to SEC jump is going fast enough. I can't imagine Arch wants the "glory" of beating Kansas and TCU.

Ole Miss is legacy for Arch. Good and bad, his grandad and uncle are going to be there every minute. That's a crazy college experience. Kiffin has too much troll for me but maybe Arch likes that sort of thing....... Eli and Peyton troll with best of them. Can Kiffin/Lebby make Arch ready for Sunday? Will Lebby stay? Will Kiffin stay? I think so.

GA. I've seen Arch in pics in a GA hat. I don't get the attraction given that Kirby reads Chinese as well as he reads QB talent. But, Kirby got it done this year and recruits a wall for his QBs to work behind. I don't get it but my gut says GA is on Arch's mind.

Alabama. Arch could give Nick some great seasons to retire on. That would be the best case. Archie and Eli and Peyton might have to throw up before each game but yeah....... Nick would prepare Arch to play in the NFL, keep him safe, etc.

None of these are awful options.

Sark has also coached/developed Carson Palmer, Matt Leinart, Mark Sanchez, Jake Locker, and Cody Kessler. All NFL Qbs with varying amounts of NFL starts. He definitely knows how to develop a QB. Even Casey Thompson had a solid year this year for TX and he was barely a 4 star QB coming out of high school. I don't know when Arch plans to commit, but if he is going to wait till the fall, then I'm sure he will be watching how Quinn Ewers fairs under Sarks's tutelage.

Google quickly says Cooper is worth $13M and he's got 3 kids.

While not chump change, $4+M would be Arch's cut. That's hardly a vast fortune and I'd think adding a cool million to that wouldn't go unnoticed.

Say you deposit 3 of that 4 million into a high interest account that earns say 5%. That’s a monthly income of $150k per month. While that may not be a “vast” fortune, that’s a pretty good chunk.

UT is not even a school that Arch Manning is considering...He is not even visiting UT. I think this shows where we are as a program.
Honestly the 1st question u should ask is does Arch even fit what we're doing on offense. The kid has grown up with pocket passer's (except Grandpa). I'm pretty sure Cooper is advising his son to go somewhere that has an offense compatible to his game.

5% annual interest won't yield $150k per month on $3M.

If you're getting 5% interest per month, please stop laundering money for the mob.

You obviously don’t know much about Peyton’s high school career.

I know as much as you do. He was considered the #1 QB coming out of HS, unless the show "The book of Manning" was BS. My point is. That if they got Peyton's rating correct then they probably have Arch's rating correct. Not just because of this name. You obviously don't know when someone is being sarcastic.

But not Hooker mobile.
I'm not sure about that. Looking online their 40 times seem pretty comparable. 4.65 is the number I've found on Manning and most of Hooker's times that I have found are over that, but not by much. Archie, Arch's granddad could really, really run, so if he takes after him, I believe it.

Here is my opinion on how to finish your thread title: "...Which is disappointing but wish him the best. Feeling very optimistic about our future under CJH!"

I think Arch can run but doesn't want to run, especially in college, I'd imagine.

Archie could run but often had to run. I'm 100% sure Arch doesn't want to be in that situation.

Hooker spent some time not having the protection he needed and having to "make it work" and he did that pretty well. That's common for football but I don't think it's as common among teams that hit the CFP. Arch will go where he's well protected.
