Alvin Kamara arrested in Las Vegas for Assault

They stopped the beating. There's a guy unconscious but you escort witnesses and potential attackers out of the bar and don't even call the police? The police were called to hospital, not the bar.
I did not see that part. I am unaware of any liability they have to call the police. They stopped the beating. Not their job to be the cops. Is it questionable? Sure. But I don't think the plaintiff has much of a leg to stand on regarding the establishment. They stopped the beating and got you medical attention. I run numerous restaurants and I am unaware of any law that requires me to notify cops about anything besides drunks. Edit:

They have a legal obligation to stop the fight, or at least attempt to, and then call for aid.

Where I live, the beer/liquor board insists disturbances be reported so they can determine disorderly establishments, etc. Where you live the beer board doesn't care how many fights occur at your places?

beer board taking phone calls after business hours where you live? Manning the desks late night? You have a more productive city gov then anyone. The beer board isn't the cops. How the hell do you know if they called the beer board? Edit:
I have ten establishments across two states and no I am not required to report to the beer board fights

The first question the board is going to ask is: were the police called, isn't it? Seems like I've heard that.....

I get it that you don't want it on record and all that but that's ultra sketchy that a man is "mysteriously unconscious" and beaten to a pulp but an establishment doesn't have to call the police?

I agree it's sketchy. And I have dealt with beer and liquor boards for 20 years. They never asked me about fights, or required me to notify them of any, they only care about a few things. Percentage of booze sales vs food so I get taxed properly, underage drinking, and not letting drunk folks leave. That's it. And again they weren't working when this fight happened. We both know it.

I get that but you don't think your business would be liable if I had a felony committed against me and your security simply stopped the fight and got me aid and didn't even TRY to call the police on the people who beat me and stomped me in your establishment?

Pretty old myself with no love for bama at all. That said all their players are not the devil's spawn just because they play there...

Of course they are. Just like Georgia, Ole Miss, and Florida. At Vanderbilt, South Carolina, Kentucky and Missouri? Only 75% are, but they are working on it. Auburn, Arkansas, Mississippi State, LSU, and Texas A&M are at 60% (but 100% among the yell leaders). Tennessee? We had one, and he went to Washington State.

Note of interest: At WSU, he is majoring in Agriculture. Fitting; He certainly fertilized a few SEC football fields quite well.

I can’t recall one NFL player who had to serve significant time comeback and have a successful career. Mike Vick was a shell of his former self after his time served. Travis Henry Dewayne Goodrich couple notable UT guys

Vick certainly had lost a step once he came back. That's true. But his 1st two seasons with the Eagles were arguably the best of his career. And his 3rd season there was honestly on par with the majority of his career with Atlanta.

In keeping with the theme of former vol ex-cons, it's worth noting that Donte Stallworth killed a guy and only got 30 days in jail.

I would agree that he improved as a passer. But that was not what took him and the Falcons to the SB - that was his blazing speed, which he no longer had post-prison.

Yeah, he never took the Falcons to the Super Bowl.

Don't forget Leonard Little

Got no idea of what, why, or whether. I hope it all turns out well for Karma. All the same, this reminds me why I was taught to not hang around certain places. Because said places are where you don't need to look for trouble, trouble just shows up and finds you.

You needn't start Trouble, it's usually there when you get here.
Besides that, the Trouble with trouble is it starts out as fun.

His numbers and impact on the field post-prison were a joke compared to what he did pre-slammer.
I'm going to have to go look them up but I think he actually put up good numbers post prison.
I don't think he ran as much but I think his passing was better and I remember him getting a good contract also...
