The difference is that we actually voted for Trump and know many other people that voted for Trump. We know why he received votes. You're clueless, as usual. Since you can't comprehend why everyone doesn't support the leftist socialist agenda, you do what most liberals do. You attribute it to racism and/or some deep love of Trump. In reality, it is an outright rejection of liberal socialist ideas and support of specific conservative, America-first policies.Nope. It was about how Trump's personality made you feel.
But no point in us continuing to go back and forth - we simply disagree.
We live in Conroe or at least my wife does. (I kinda live at my warehouse these days). 50,000 reportedly turned out for his rally last night. The liberal Houston Chronicle said the crowd was “mostly but not exclusively white” as if we didn’t know. I would hope he doesn’t run again but I too would vote for him again.
That's absolutely absurd. I've said gerrymandering was wrong for decades, regardless of who benefits. It's a stupid system that should be changed. I don't know how anyone can argue against that.
edit..........It just dawned on me.....you actually think you made some type of insightful point with that New York post...lol...
Lol. The fraudulent schemes to oust him started before he even assumed office, so everyone knows that’s just another in a long succession of liberal, BS lies.
lol.......He had 50,000 at his rally because of his personality and ego, not because of his policies.
Have a republican rally where those policies are going to be discussed without Trump in attendance, see how many show up.
'69 has one thing absolutely correct - Trump is the republican party .
And Biden is the Dem party. And it's not looking good.lol.......He had 50,000 at his rally because of his personality and ego, not because of his policies.

Trump - the champion of the working class and middle America.
I remember soon after I came to the PF I nicknamed you Exhibit A.
Spot on if I do say so myself.
Trump spoke to the lowest common denominator at a 5th grade level. He had no intention of doing much and ran up the debt despite promises to eliminate it. He handed out trillions to cronies and then there was his covid response of handing the reins to Fauci. We can debate if Trump actually believes what he says but Trump speaks to the basic tenants of American society for the civilian population. Things that the constitution outlines. He wasn't true to some of those promises like reducing big government but I think he realized how tough it is to reduce and get the things passed that was important to him. We can also admit he was unpresidential most of the time with his professionalism. However, when you have a person that speaks the things that need to be said then people are going to be drawn to him. Trump has always been a major name in America. He was the underdog in politics that started to reasonate with people. He was bold but not in a new way where it would scare people or in an unconstitutional way. In a way instead of saying let's make America great again, he was saying let's slow down and make America sane again.
I sort of understand what Trump represents to those who support him. I fully understand what Trump represents to those who despise him.We can debate if Trump actually believes what he says but Trump speaks to the basic tenants of American society for the civilian population. Picking an individual based solely on their skin color is the very definition of Racism. The irony here is hilarious![]()
If the GOP dredges up another of it's recent losers - like Romney, I'd hope Trump would step in and give them the opportunity for snatching victory from the jaws of defeat. It's been appalling the garbage that both parties have been trotting out recently. Both parties should be looking for quality non-politicians, but they won't because those are the kind of people they can't control.

Just like Obama represented two completely different things to those who loved him or hated him.
In a simplistic synopsis.........
Obama represented a brighter future by progressing from the past. (to those who supported him)
Trump represented a brighter future by going back to the past. (to those who supported him)
Everyone wants a brighter future.
No you shouldn't talk like a middle schooler trying to hit 500 words on their paper. It's nonsense and he's a con artist. He's all marketingAnd when you're dealing with people you have to say things in plain terms. Leave no guessing. It's one thing for people to know the border is a sieve but you have one politician saying we need to uodate our immigration policy or find the root causes. What is that to people? Where are the deliverables? Then you got the other one saying. First, we're going to secure the border and build a wall. Then we're going to help address the issue with illegals already over here. We're going to get rid of the criminals. Which one is clear? Which is a BS'er?
Regarding the spending that was disappointing to a lot of people. The swamp is deep on both sides.
It's the "dregs of society" talk that becomes the story.I only disagree that he wanted to go back to the past. He just doesn't want to be one of the toppled powers of the past because they forget who they are and let the dregs of society pull it down.

It's like Hillary's "basket of deplorables" comment.
Are there dregs of society on the left - absolutely, on the right also.
Are there deplorable people on the right - absolutely, on the left also.
The dregs and deplorables (pretty big overlap) drag everybody down. Policies that minimize those groups are what's needed.

The wall was another grift. It was a Maginot line without a real immigration policy yet he wanted nothing to do with that.
It wasn't the swamp it was Trump signing off on untraceable slush funds for his friends. It was criminal
He had a gop Congress. His inability to work with that is on him and his very painful and drawn out transitionSo you suggested the sit on your hands approach because that's what we've had for decades.
As far as a grift. Possibly. He also didn't have a lot of government people on his side so you go with people you can trust. You can cite some examples if you like.
