Things I'm mad about today

Ouch. That’s crap timing for sure. How are you two feeling other than that?
Doing really well. GVG started with some sinus crap but I think she'll be through that soon. I'm in the clear hopefully. Talked to the nurse at work and she said stop testing since once you are + you can stay that way for months. Quarantine has more to do with time since symptom onset and cessation. We still hold all of your prayers and best wishes dear!

I have had 2 Dell laptops. Both were lemons. Just took the second one back yesterday. I would recommend against Dell, but that's just my experience. YMMV.
I have had much better luck with HP laptops. Again, YMMV.

Yeah, I hate Dell. But I just did a quick Google for rugged laptops lol.

thanks,
dealing with dancing cursor now

many problems last six months w this toshiba and further complicated before holidays as i had it in case when i slipped and eventually (9 days ago) that i had broken 3 ribs

Twelve years ago, Toshiba's laptops had the fewest issues. They were highly rated for reliability and longevity. Today, HP laptops are getting the same nod for fewest issues, projected reliability and longevity. HP has extended it's holiday price deals into January. Worth checking out.

I had an HP as my last work laptop and couldn't wait to get rid of it. Screen issues constantly and the only comp I have ever had a SSD simply die and take EVERYTHING with it. We can't back up to anything at work.

My last two HP laptops have worked without a hitch throughout their 3-year leases. The Dell I had prior those two HPs crapped out before its three year lease term was up. In that same period, my colleague was cursing her HP's unreliability. In the late 2000s, I had two Dells that never gave me any trouble. Every brand has its lemons.

THe HP that I got was basically "brand new" for the purpose that our company bought it for. We later discontinued that model and went back to Dell. I have just always used Dell at home and at work. However, I am moving away from my Dell desktop to a custom build company that my son uses. He loves his and they are 1/3 the price of dell. All the components can be removed and replaced if needed. I should give him @theFallGuy contact info if TFG ever needs any IT advice. My son does IT on the side at work and could probably help TFG out.
