What does Pitt have coming back that would get them nearly in the Top 10? Planning on going to Heinz for this one.. MaybeStewart Mandel has us at 13
Stewart Mandel's too early Top 25 for the 2022 college football season
13. Tennessee (7-6)
Standout QB Hendon Hooker put off the NFL to lead Josh Heupel’s explosive offense for another season. He’ll be joined by top WR Cedric Tillman and top RB Jabari Small. Wyoming transfer Isaiah Neyor (44 catches, 878 yards, 12 TDs) joins what should be a deep receiver group. Linebackers Jeremy Banks and Aaron Beasley and S Trevon Flowers lead an otherwise young defense. Heupel should be on the market for a transfer cornerback.
Note: he has Pitt at 11

Here's the Mandel thoughts on Pitt. Everyone thought that losing Pickett would cause a drop, but then they picked up transfer qb Slovis from USC.
11. Pitt (11-3)
USC transfer Kedon Slovis steps in for Heisman finalist Kenny Pickett. He’ll get to throw to Biletnikoff winner Jordan Addison, Jared Wayne and Akron transfer Konata Mumpfield, a Freshman All-American. The Panthers’ top three rushers and entire O- line are coming back, too. Eight defensive starters should return, led by All-ACC DT Calijah Kancey, DL Habakkuk Baldonado, LB SirVocea Dennis and S Brandon Hill.
Wow. And I thought we had the return match in the bag. As Lee Corso likes to say, not so fast! Here's the Mandel thoughts on Pitt. Everyone thought that losing Pickett would cause a drop, but then they picked up transfer qb Slovis from USC.
