Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

Ok, doesnt answer my question.

My Covid risk of death is something like:
0.0001%
Or if I was vaxed:
0.00001%

That's an order of magnitude difference, so not insignificant. But considering it's right of the decimal point what's the kerfuffle about?
That’s your personal choice…. I don’t agree with mandates except when it comes to healthcare….. I, personally, would get the vaccine bc I have seen people that believed they were .00001% almost die from it. I don’t believe in lockdowns…. Forced social distancing…. Masks or any of that other nonsense. I have not seen one negative side effect from the vaccine although I am sure it could happen bc people are allergic to everything nowadays.

I don’t have any inside baseball here, so I’m just spitballing: perhaps the scare tactics are driving huge waves of asymptotic people to testing centers? Perhaps it’s to reserve the best service for those who are actually sick?

The bigger question is why are we still talking about case counts? I thought we expected viruses to get more transmissible and less lethal. UF recently released a projection that 80% of Floridians will have had COVID by the time the omicron wave is finished.

Here’s the reported case counts for Florida…scary!!

80%?
Well that would be endemic and a good thing, right?

Reminds me of this from last year:

Ok what is that?

So “almost died” with a 0.0001% chance of death means they survived and underpins why their risk was 0.0001%, BECAUSE THEY DIDNT DIE.

I've heard it all now!

An arrest warrant has been issued for a Houston-area mother whose teenage son was allegedly found in the trunk of her car at a COVID-19 drive-thru testing site on Friday.

Mother charged after son found in trunk of car at COVID-19 testing site, DA says
I'm sure there will be nut jobs out there that agree with the mother. Got to quarantine somehow.

I have an idea (inspired by Hitler), why don't we just take all the unvaxxed people and stick them in concentration camps. We could also throw in any vaxxed people that contract Covid and start to develop bad symptoms. Death panels could be established to decide if people should remain alive or be executed based on their symptom severity. This would be humane since an execution (lethal injection or firing squad maybe) would be faster than slowing dying from Covid. The vaxxed general population could then go about their daily walks of life with peace of mind knowing all of the threats are contained.

Protection afforded by prior infection against SARS-CoV-2 reinfection with the Omicron variant

is this actually science?? I mean, I’m not an immunologist, virologist, infectious disease, epidemiologist. And I found it on the internet, it didn’t come from Fauci or Walensky.

Am I a conspiracy theorist, granny killing nut job??
The term "conspiracy theorist" is a label the liberal media and government puts on anyone that questions the narrative. If they say "2+2=5", we are all supposed to accept it. Otherwise, we are conspiracy theorists.

A couple had pretty bad complications from it still today…. I don’t care if you get vaccinated or not…. That is your personal choice…..I don’t see the negative to being vaccinated but I feel this is a free country and you can do what you want.

Oregon issues guidelines for how hospitals should prioritize care amid omicron surge

OHA issues interim triage tool to help hospitals facing a crisis of overwhelming COVID-19 admissions

Under the interim triage tool, all patients who can potentially benefit from treatment will be offered care, if health care resources are sufficient. If hospital staff, beds and treatment are insufficient, all patients will be individually assessed according to the best available objective medical evidence. According to the tool:

  • No one will be denied care based on stereotypes, assumptions about any individual’s quality of life, or judgement about an individual’s “worth” based on the presence or absence of disabilities.
  • Care decisions should be based on the likelihood of survival to hospital discharge.

I think that's the stance of most people except for those extremely brainwashed by Fauci, CNN, etc. Hopefully, the supreme court rules that way but my hopes are not up.

UK Gov't Admits Evidence For Face Masks Stopping COVID Spread In Schools "Not Conclusive" | ZeroHedge

The study cited by the department didn’t provide proof of a statistically significant decline in absences.

The research compared 123 U.K. schools that used masks with about 1,200 others that didn’t during the Covid wave fueled by the delta variant.

Schools with face-covering rules in October 2021 saw their absence rate drop by 2.3 percentage points, to 3%, two to three weeks later.

In schools that didn’t use masks, absences fell by 1.7 percentage points, to 3.6%.

I'm surprised they haven't blown up the scale on the deaths chart to make the peaks look really really scary

Let me ask you a question.
Do you think people should be allowed to take the vaccine?
it’s not a gotcha question. I don’t care if you think it’s stupid to do so. Simply put. People looking at the same information you’re looking at and decide it is worth the risk to take it, should they be free to do so without being called names ?

To eliminate any name calling for the question, I absolutely believe you should have the right to not take the vaccine or take/not take any medication that you feel is correct for you without being called names or harassed by me. My position is that everyone makes their own choice, just do so with as much available information as possible.

What say you?

You don’t see the negative because you’re not one of the ones who has had complications from the vaccine. The same arguments used to justify vaccination for those of us who argue Covid isn’t that bad, can be said for the vaccines as well. I discount Covid namely because I’ve had it and know hundreds of people who’ve had it and less than a handful wound up hospitalized and zero died. The hospitalized were all extremely overweight or had a known, underlying condition. You likely know nobody with an adverse effect to the vaccine so you consider it safe and a non-issue. At the end of the day, the adverse effects to the vaccine and complications or lingering effects from Covid for healthy individuals are both statistical anomalies.
