Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

I don’t want to get into a big discussion about it but there is one big difference in my opinion. Antisemitism was already a big problem in Germany (and Europe) even before the rise of Hitler.
And? Tribalism isn't a problem here? The isms can't have a different subject than Nazi Germany to learn from the similarities, see them and call them out?

The constant Nazi comparisons are mindless and cheap, not to mention inaccurate. If you want to compare it to something more applicable, compare it to the Japanese Scare and Interment portion of American history.

I have friends in Brisbane. They’re way more scared of their govt right now than they are of Covid. The “zero case” Covid policy, or whatever Australian govt calls it, is completely unrealistic.

The “pivot” is coming. I predict that “beating coronavirus” will be a top campaign point for Democrats come fall.
Without a doubt. And there will be a large number that will lap it up. Our very own Mad4Vax will be glowing about the great job Shanghai Joe has done.

This shouldn't be a surprise to anyone. These people live such an insulated life they probably have little knowledge of what's actually happening outside of their bubble of elites.

And yet, this is the information she is basing her inevitable vote that OSHA mandates are legal.

What she said is obviously flat wrong. However, even if they were right that should have no bearing on the decision. The decision should be based on the constitutionality of the OSHA mandates, not the effectiveness of vaccines or how bad COVID is.

She's a disciple of RBG who admitted that she looks outside of the constitution for guidance on her rulings.

I work in SNF and we had 125 sick….. several very serious and several deaths….. our doctor ended up in the ICU….. since vaccinations, we still have people sick…. 8 positives currently but no one close to being serious.

I am also part of a hospital group and 90-95% of the sick in the hospital is unvaccinated. I do feel that the vaccine shouldn’t be mandated in most situations but can understand why healthcare organizations mandate it.
Ok, doesnt answer my question.

My Covid risk of death is something like:
0.0001%
Or if I was vaxed:
0.00001%

That's an order of magnitude difference, so not insignificant. But considering it's right of the decimal point what's the kerfuffle about?

It's not about health.

It. is. about. control.

This has been a bit of my issue as well. Our “frontline workers” in Er’s ICU’s and skilled nursing facilities have a defined selection bias. Everyone they see is to the right of the decimal point. And their experience isn’t wrong. Those people are sick and dying and, at this point, overwhelmingly unvaccinated.

However, making public health policy and mandates and shaming social media posts based on that narrow view is also damaging. And people who otherwise might have benefited from the vaccine have declined it because of those issues.

In addition, many, if not MOST of us have already had CV infection through workplace exposure and (in the words of Lord Fauci himself) are included in the "protected group." Also, the safety of these shots was not evaluated in people previously infected with the virus during trials.

Not really. There are plenty of similarities. At this point is there a malicious actor at the head like Hitler? I don't think so but Germany didn't just wake up and decide to be Nazi Germany over night. We can recognize the similarities in process. Whats the point of learning from history if you simply mock similarities as "mindless?" The belief of the term of "Never Again" with the holocaust and the mocking of seeing similarities can't co-exist.

We are repeating the lead up to that type of society. It may have a slightly different flavor.
Yep. This early 1930's Germany before the internment camps, gas chambers & boxcars. Look at the video from a couple days ago as 5 or 6 police officers brutality arrest an elderly woman for walking her dog without a mask ironically in Germany.
