Never hated Memphis. Graceland, Zoo, and Civil Rights Museum are World Class. Prolly won’t ever step foot on Beale but it’s better than what Broadway has turned in toPretty soon we will be dining on the finest BBQ Shop meals and attending Grizzlies games
The hates (of which there are many) will be beside themselves
Nashville is starting to get into that stage where they are attracting people who do not see the connection between the politics of an area and the quality of life in that area.Green Hills wanna be California so bad
Not to go down a political road, but that is a perfect explanation. Same thing happened in ATL about 5-10 years ago.Nashville is starting to get into that stage where they are attracting people who do not see the connection between the politics of an area and the quality of life in that area.
At the beginning of their big growth period, it seemed like most of the people who were moving to Nashville were Tennesseans from other parts of the state or southerners moving there for work-related or other economic reasons. Then they started to attract people from the upper Midwest and California moving because they were sick of the politics where they lived.
Now, they appear to be predominately attracting a crowd that is moving there because it's cheaper than where they live but still a trendy, larger city. They don't see a connection between lower cost of living and the politics they advocate for, so they show up in Nashville and start advocating for the same politics they did back home. It's this last group that truly starts to change the city. They move because of lower cost of living, but they haven't given a second of thought as to why that is.
Yep. I think ATL is like 10-15 years ahead of Nashville. Not to go down a political road, but that is a perfect explanation. Same thing happened in ATL about 5-10 years ago.
For their sake, I hope not. ATL has to have the worst interstate design I've ever seen. Whoever decided to merge 75 and 85 into a single connector and run it through downtown was either stupid or sadistic.Nashville is on the ATL trajectory. Traffic may end up being worse in Nashville in another few years, believe it or not.
