The Official Tennessee vs. Purdue Music City Bowl Game Thread, 3:00 PM ET, ESPN

Either win or lose this is s great measuring stick for our Vols. Second half should be good. This team needs secondary work and they are getting it. Should help with next year.

Our secondary is what it is. Why should we expect them to be good the last game of the season? Hendon is the one not playing like he usually does. I get your point though.
Yes, I agree. Hooker played a bad half. Even his TD passes were off. But our defense is like Swiss cheese. We gave up 347 yards of offense, and if their QB was more accurate, they would be up by two scores.

The offense is great when you have tempo and are completing 3rd down conversions.

It sucks when you go 3 and out or have turnovers. Your defense is on the field too much.

Which is why I don’t think this offense will ever be championship winning. Keeps the defense on the field too much.
Most offenses suck when you go three & out and have turnovers.

If the offense is so high-strung that it has to have perfect momentum and has to have no game delays from injuries and has to have big plays to be effective, you sort of wonder how durable the offense really is.

What is concerning he is in the second quarter people were still wide-open but Hooker wasn’t even close to completing the pass. He was way off in the second quarter. I wonder if he hurt his shoulder and one of those ruNSAID’s.

Getting whipped at the line of scrimmage. Can’t get a pass rush without blitzing. Cant stop a big slow white kid running on a team that had the worst avg per rush in college football. We can’t run the ball or protect. Soft up front on offense and defense.
Need to change cleats at half time. We are moving like we are running on egg shells. Long time equipment manager not there today--wonder if the wrong shoe selection was made today?
