Your analogy doesn't apply when you are trying to show dominance over another nuclear armed state. When the dust settles in this alleged fight amongst alphas, humanity could be wiped out.

We need to get out of this dangerous Rambo mentality and start embracing diplomacy, free commerce and pragmatism.

He's shown no evidence of threatening the United States. His focus has been on reestablishing the old states of the Soviet Union to offer a buffer between Russia and NATO and to build trading partners within those countries. He's also focused domestically on fighting the demographics problems they have and trying to restore Russian tradition/families and restoring the influence of the Russian Orthodox Church.

He has not shown any other major ambitions outside of what I have described.

Remember how certain bad ass kicks knew not to mess with other bad ass kids because the insult was both parties getting seriously F’d no matter who won the fight.

That’s what nuclear arms does.

Once someone has a nuclear threat that can be launched in a ICBM type capacity you are pretty much an Alpha. You may not be THE alpha but you are alpha enough to be left alone.

It’s why we have the CIA and why shadow wars happen now.

It’s why we are being attacked from within economically and socially.
