Love St. George. Caught a 6 foot shark off the beach in the park there once.

Its my mom's 75th birthday. We are renting an AirBNB cabin in Sevierville, right in between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. Looking for places to eat and drink. Places to drive to up in the Smokies. Interested in doing that sky bridge, etc.

We had to detour around I-40 by going through Cherokee. There is a lot of construction going on right before the TN border and the delay was about 2 & 1/2 hours both ways.

I forgot how much fun taking 441 through Newfound Gap was. You can also get to the Clingman's Dome observation tower off of 441 too at Newfound Gap. The Chimney Tops are right on 441 as well. Cherokee and the Casino are only about an hour's drive from Gatlinburg. In Townsend there is the Great Smokies Heritage museum, which I love.

Honestly, I avoid Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge like the plague now. If I want to sit in traffic for hours, I'll just get in my car and drive around Charlotte.

The Sky Bridge is GORGEOUS after dark. Beautiful looking down at all the lights.

The Island fountain and light show to Christmas music is really, really cool. The streams of water plunk back down on top of the water and sound like part of the music at one point. I think they do it every 20 minutes if you are planning on being there.

The Local Goat in PF is awesome. We eat there everytime we go up. We also go to Sawyer's if we're getting breakfast. Wait times are crazy of course.

On GA 303, west of Brunswick on a tidal creek branching off the East River is a bait/tackle/convenience store with access roadside and dockside. They’ll sell you live shrimp and SlimJims.

Been to St. George's a couple of times and I remember the PW. At least you are close enough to get ORB a better lighthouse pic.
