tired of being jerked around on this matter,,,top secret
until I hear SOMETHING from the org I am considering ,,,Rae is out for the year

Hard to say...Limited sources for Rae and no contact so I have no good "read" on her.
My contact for her pretty much gave me the same coach-speak,,,to be determined, yet rehab is in progress. If rehabbing is in progress, it HAS to be designated for an ailment,,,you don't just "rehab"...rehab is a planned progress.

I had a top secret clearance in the military and never had to guard a secret this close ;o)

She may be, but I doubt it. This is a matter between Rae, her parents and her Doctor. No one else has the right to know or to be upset. It is the law and I wish people would let the issue drop until Rae and her family are willing to make a statement. Even her Door may not know when she will be ready to come back. Don't lose any more sleep over it.

That would fit with the limited comments from coach that we do have. She has had at least a month of some for of rehab, her condition is going to be re-evaluated this week, and then with this information Rae has a decision to make. To play, get more rehab, or get some type of surgery seems like the only type of decision a player would be making in this scenario, especially with someone like Rae who is so gung ho in the way she plays. Other injuries that could heal more fully in this time frame would not be treated this way, as if someone had a regular sprained ankle everyone could tell in practice when they are ready to return including the player. In that scenario the player would be asked are you ready to return this game or next, and it would not be reported that the player is awaiting major medical news so that they could make a big decision.

Could be .Sounds like they have been trying to rehab the knee so she could play the rest of the year but the rehab has not worked well so far and surgery may be required.

I really doubt Rae will be back next year regardless if she plays at all this year. She seems very mature now, not the gangly bull in a China shop freshman we all remember and loved. She has nothing left to prove at the college level. Probably top five draft pick?
The injury evidently had a wait and see component so it makes total sense to not discuss publicly. I would guess she and her family would like to avoid the free “medical advice” they would receive😆

As much as it would be nice to have Rae back, I don’t think we need to spend so much time caught up and dwelling on the what ifs. Let’s focus on the team we have now, that has gotten us to where we are without Rae. If Rae comes back, that is only extra icing on the cake, but I think we’ve got a fantastic team!

"Fishy" would be something like Rae has not been seen by anyone and Coach Harper reported, "Oh, she is fine trust us (as with the Chinese govt. and pro tennis player Peng Shuai). So, what exactly would be "fishy" here, which implies some kind malicious deception.

Odds are she had a set-back in her rehab and now they are having to re-evaluate matters. Perhaps Rae or her family want to keep the exact nature of the injury private. She will be back when she is back, (if she is back for the LVs).
