Souce's Coffee Discussion Thread

Do you like it? That one is not one of my favorites, I am a big Peet’s fan though.
I like it better than anything else on the shelf at that time.

I've learned that I like any decent coffee if it's got Starbucks Mocha mixed in with it. When I run out of the Italian, I'm going to try the Black Silk with mocha.

I've been drinking less coffee than normally for a couple of months, might be because of the heat but I've never done this before. Idk. I just know it doesn't seem to be as important as it used to be so I'm taking advantage of it. We're talking .16 cents an ounce vs .48 which is roughly $9 a month compared to $23.

It's not really a big deal, I just always look at the costs and there it is.

I remember that when we drank Peet’s, it went on sale a lot. When it does, check the roasting date on the side. Sometimes it’s right down to the wire.

I had Quiche Lorraine before the croissant.

1850 and Starbucks Mocha. 1/2 cup for 4 cups.

It's drinkable with the mocha but I won't buy it again.

So, I really don't believe I'm a coffee snob, I just don't understand why people like anything other than dark roasts or having it straight black. I'm not too picky with brands or how it's prepared. We have a Keurig, a traditional drip coffee maker, and a french press. Overall, I prefer the flavor of the coffee from the french press, but it's too much work to use at work. We have a Keurig machine in our breakroom at work and my desk is approximately 15 feet away, so I utilize K-cups quite often. My favorite right now is Kroger's Private Selection brand - Guatemalan. It's the best I've found for the flavors I love. I've tried MANY different k-cups and this one is by FAR my favorite.

I also purchase whole beans to use at home, but I've yet to find whole beans that I truly love. My boss brought me beans from a small town in Mexico a couple years ago and they were AMAZING. I'm still trying to find beans that are comparable. But, I'm also cheap and refuse to spend $30 on a small bag of beans -- even though I know they'll taste great.
This is still the BEST k-cup I've been able to find. It's become my favorite cup of coffee because it's so consistent with quality and flavor.
