Culinary, Arts, Thread.

That actually sounds like exactly what I'm looking for. But I'm skurt. Lol.

It says to copy and paste that code. Do I copy and paste everything? Like this....

Sub Workbook_SheetSelectionChange(ByVal Sh As Object, ByVal Target As Excel.Range)
'Update 20140923
Static xLastRng As Range
On Error Resume Next
Target.Interior.ColorIndex = 6
xLastRng.Interior.ColorIndex = xlColorIndexNone
Set xLastRng = Target
End Sub
I would say so. As long as you don't have a ' before the line, it should treat is as a line of code.

Crap like this scares me, afraid I'm gone screw it up. And it ain't excel where I can just close it and "not save" if worse comes to worse. Lol.

Make a copy of the spreadsheet... and play with that, no way to f up the original spreadsheet.

I'm not an excel genius, I just work with spreadsheets all day. I use very few functions past algebra.
That works and I appreciate the time. I probably would eventually thought of that but I was looking for a solution with less steps, and less rows. I don't have room for the 2 extra rows without "shrinking" some. But, you did save me some time and I'll use this for now
Thanks.

I like the sausage and cheese plate too. When the ribs are on, they are on. One purveyor is way better than another.

Agree about the ribs. Ive noticed at several places over the past 18 months or so (damn COVID) is that the racks aren't as meaty. More likely to get a slightly overcooked batch with the less meaty ones.

I can't remember the last time I went to the Rendezvous. Probably about 15 or so years ago.

Yep yep yep yep yep

I made the first tab of every workbook for the list of data sources, and what I was doing and how and why.

Second tab was the master copy tab and labeled as such with red background on the tab.

Everything after that was the stuff I was playing around with, including graphs, pivot tables, pivot charts, and the rest. As long as I kept that master tab unaltered, I was safe.
